Now we did make the playoffs last with Carr and an interim so I think right now without McDaniels yes we would.
That's all I will say about that.

But I’ll say, Carr is a better QB than McDaniels is a HC.
And with all of that, he is averaging just 20 yards more than Jimmy. He has 3 more TD's than Jimmy having played 4 more games. I mean seriously, your passive aggressive "can we say.....yet" is annoying as hell.

Jacobs had a league leading 1600 rushing yards last year and Carr was sacked only 27 times. He played a game last year where he couldn't move the ball against the team he plays for now past the 50 yard line but his back up came in and managed to do that difficult task on his first try.

-Squeaked out a 1 point win 16-15 over the titans
-Rolled over the panthers 20-17
-Lost to the packers 18-17
-Lost to the bucs at home 26-9
-Beat down the pats 34-0 for the W
-Lost the very next week to the texans 20-13
-Lost to the jaguars 31-24
-Beat the colts 38-27
-Beat the bears 24-17
-Lost to the vikings 27-19

That's 5 wins against teams with losing records, 2 losses against teams with losing records and 3 losses against teams with winning records. If you are keeping track, and you should be, they haven't yet beat a team with a winning record.

As it currently stands, they will face 1, ONE team, with a winning record the rest of the season. And they are at home for that game.
This team would still be treading water. He was supposed to elevate the Saints and hasn't done anything more than Dalton did for them and they actually have a more complete team than we do.

I would say no because the main issue with this team was McDaniels. If Carr was here the offense would have been much better this year. Sometimes, it just comes down to bad matchups.
Brian Flores is a defensive maniac. Against the pressure from all angles, the statue known as Derek Carr crumbled. In the first quarter, the Saints run game was finding some daylight. Then a penalty. The New Orleans play calls, playing with a deficit, became stale. Minnesota dominated time of possession, which only exhausted Saints linemen. The Saints offense did not use the entire field effectively or creatively.
The Saints have a problem with quarterbacks who can run and it showed. It REALLY showed. As excellent as the Saints defensive backs have been playing, NO ONE can stay with a receiver running around with bonus time. Josh Dobbs rolled all over the field and made something from nothing. The contrast in QB playing personality was staggering. Once the momentum bent in Minnesota’s favor, the Saints could not do much to change things in the first half. Dobbs was 18/ 22 for 220 yards in the FIRST half. Carr had 51 yards passing. Crazy. The Saints pass rush was rendered invisible. 24-3 at the half. Game over.
Third quarter, Carr exits.
Jameis to Olave. Jameis to Perry. Two quick scores. What?
Two bold throws. Two amazing catches.
Zero running plays. No Hill.
Jameis giveth and forceth too many shots into deep coverage.
Derek Carr lacks pocket awareness.
Jameis Winston misreads coverages.
Jake Haener is an unknown.
Moving forward, whatever it takes, New Orleans MUST upgrade at QB.
I don’t care who.

Carr is a good game manager if a team needs that. The offense has too much talent for that and/or expectations are higher than that. He doesn’t go through progressions well. He’s a check down passer. Rarely allows receivers YAC. Doesn’t move well within pocket. Can’t hit receivers when he’s scrambling outside pocket. Not a dual threat which eliminates defense needing spotter. He’s capable of getting a team possibly to playoffs, but never a SB. I’d rather cut ties and pursue a QB who could lead to SB. Need a dual threat QB in todays NFL.

It didn't even take half the year for most Saints fans to realize Carr isn't the qb they thought he was.
