He's made out of paper, not even cardboard stock, tissues paper, injured 3 times this season, 2 concussions in the last 3 games including checking a bunch of extra boxes on the last hit including shoulder and back, just to make sure everyone knows how hard he got hit.chucker wrote Tue Dec 05, 2023 7:52 am:Saints media keeps saying "you can't question his toughness". They have a lot to learn.

When you plan on throwing the ball to someone long before it's snapped and have zero plans (ability) to throw it to anyone else no matter what, even if they are wide open and can walk in for a TD.chucker » Wed Dec 06, 2023 6:42 am
No they mean physically tough. Like he plays through physical pain. They're talking about how he looked to be in so much pain coming off the field with the first shoulder injury and then only missed a week. What they're missing is that he acts like he's in intense pain when it was probably nothing.AdamJoshua28 wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 6:33 am:He's made out of paper, not even cardboard stock, tissues paper, injured 3 times this season, 2 concussions in the last 3 games including checking a bunch of extra boxes on the last hit including shoulder and back, just to make sure everyone knows how hard he got hit.
Or did they mean mentally tough, you know breaking down and crying when the Raiders benched him and he refused to show up, sorry I mean when his wife did all that, certainly wasn't him!

Is he tough or is he afraid of being out too long and losing his starting job to someone else, there is also chatter that they won't draft a QB too high up because they don't want to rattle him, which actually seems like it could be true.chucker wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 6:42 am:No they mean physically tough. I will say though, that he got hit for real by Bruce Irvin. That hit would have taken out plenty of QBs.

I don't think he's tough. He's come back from injury in a similar fashion to other guys with similar injuries - of course each injury is unique but he's had enough bumps that it evens out somewhat. I do believe he's afraid of losing his job, but he's still not coming back any faster than any other guy from injuries. I think he's much more afraid of getting hit/hurt than the average NFL QB and limits his own and his team's effectiveness due to his reaction to that. When he feels pain, he instantly lets go of the ball, like that's going to stop the pain - sometimes he does it in anticipation of pain.AdamJoshua28 wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 6:51 am:Is he tough or is he afraid of being out too long and losing his starting job to someone else, there is also chatter that they won't draft a QB too high up because they don't want to rattle him, which actually seems like it could be true.

Agreed and the problem with him when there is a 300 pound guy coming at him is he has no clue, even when Irvin was coming at him it was straight on and he was coming at him for 5+ yards and Carr still shows no sign of seeing him, he was too busy staring down one receiver the entire time, his typical drop back, never takes his eyes off his intended target no matter how many guys are wide open all over the field, god he's terriblechucker wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 7:14 am:I don't think he's tough. I remember Deshaun Watson getting kicked in the eye and continuing the play for a TD pass against the Raiders - what would Derek have done there? I think we all know he would have fumbled and hugged the turf.
By the way, for the people who say "you try playing QB with 300 pound people coming at you", I say "nobody wants me as their QB". The reality is that other professional QBs play with more toughness and that's why they deserve the respect and the paycheck.

Would have been an easy attempt too.AdamJoshua28 wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 6:40 am:When you plan on throwing the ball to someone long before it's snapped and have zero plans (ability) to throw it to anyone else no matter what, even if they are wide open and can walk in for a TD.

It's truly amazing the special treatment he gets. They're constantly trying to sell the public on the idea he's a good QB, while they've got no problem trashing others. I like her stuff. She is also equal opportunity. Nobody is sacred to her, nor is anyone a specific target.Willmark wrote Thu Dec 07, 2023 11:02 am:She’s pretty damn funny.

People are getting their fill of these clowns. And like I told a Saints fan, Derek has a "tell". If he's REALLY hurt, he cries like a baby. Lol16 to 88 wrote Thu Dec 07, 2023 11:11 pm:SHOTS FIRED!
