I have a feeling that having Adams on the team is going to push Carr, and he will have one of his strongest and most consistent seasons.GoodTimeCharlie » Thu Aug 11, 2022 9:21 pm
And it will for any ardent Carr acolyte until Carr, the yellow-bellied chickenshit donkey-brained little sissy stops sucking, gagging, and falling fetal every time a defender gets in the same zip code.RadJack wrote Thu Aug 11, 2022 7:51 pm:Hmmm I can see this thread still sucks..

These Carr fantasy scenarios.....Opoponax50 » Thu Aug 11, 2022 10:48 pm
Hmm. In the divisional round against SF Adams was wide open late and Rodgers threw over his head to a receiver that was double covered. IIRC, it was a third down situation and Adams would've picked up a good 20+ yards. Rodgers' miss likely cost GB that game.Amish Cabal wrote Thu Aug 11, 2022 5:02 pm:Week 15. Adams will never say a word. But by week 9, he's sick of his shit. By week 15, he's ready to bitch slap his buddy for being the pussy he is. Adams is used to a competent QB. His career will suffer with Derek Carr. Just like Tyreek Hill won't be the same WR in Miami.

Yes, I am more interested in seeing what Carr will do than what Carr has done.srv5490 wrote Thu Aug 11, 2022 5:52 pm:I have a feeling that having Adams on the team is going to push Carr, and he will have one of his strongest and most consistent seasons.
That said, I will only truly believe it when I see it.

In some ways, getting Adams could be like getting 1.5 good players instead of just 1 good player. Not only Adams himself, but I’m hoping that between the pre-existing trust and the push one will have on the other, we get more “good Carr”.srv5490 wrote Thu Aug 11, 2022 5:52 pm:I have a feeling that having Adams on the team is going to push Carr, and he will have one of his strongest and most consistent seasons.

Personally, I'm just going to watch the season and hope for the best.
As to the season, yup, hope for the best. I’ll be doing the same. Just without expectations. Haven’t had any since 2017.Lamonica_D wrote Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:14 pm:It’s a nice feeling to have an elite QB.
I feel bad for the teams that don’t. Not.
Looking like Rodgers out there just flicking those angles and wrist. Too damn good.
And too damn accurate compared to other QBs. Those ball placements are insane.

You are always a straight shooter and fair, I appreciate your posts because you call it like it is, good or bad. I may not always agree, but I know coming in that it will be a solid representation of reality.raiders93 wrote:Agree. Waller was not walking in from the 7 yard line and is probably just getting forced out of bounds since his momentum was heading towards the sideline.
It looked like Waller may have been running a wheel of some sort though which is a different story. The ball was already gone before he turned upfield but if that was his route and Carr held onto the ball a little longer - it’d be a 1-on-1 between 6’6” Waller and 5’11” bell in the end zone.

It could've been a huge turning point, if Carr makes that play in how people perceive Carr's play in big games. What people fail to forget that defend Carr's last pass against Cincinnati in the playoffs is that the Raiders had a 1st and goal. Carr wasted a play by spiking it and couldn't do anything the next 3 plays.Jeremyturner1976 wrote Fri Aug 12, 2022 9:00 am:You are always a straight shooter and fair, I appreciate your posts because you call it like it is, good or bad.
I agree, given zero chance of success with who he targetted and no pressure, Waller could have become a target easily if Carr had just waited and tried to create. Hell, not many can cover Renfrow for very long either. It could have been our Montana/Clark 'The catch' moment - it was not because the guy with the ball failed at his job.
It does not help he sucked the rest of the game also...

Seems like good or bad this season is going to be career defining for Carr. It’s nice to have all that talent around you but now as the QB all eyes are on you to lead that team to results… and all eyes are on you if the team doesn’t deliver. As easy as it is to write off a QB in a good environment as being a product of their environment… it’s almost a skill in itself to be able to lead a championship caliber team. It’s hard to hide it as the QB if you’re the one being carried (garropolo, Goff, cousins, etc…)Raider727 wrote Fri Aug 12, 2022 9:13 am:It could've been a huge turning point, if Carr makes that play in how people perceive Carr's play in big games. Anyways, after the off-season the Raiders have had and Carr signing a prove it deal, I'm looking forward to what will happen. Hopefully Carr proves us doubters wrong, I will be rooting for him to do so.
If Carr continues to not improve in the redzone, 2nd half of the season, fumbling, and not putting up touchdowns with these pass catchers and 6 time Super Bowl champion offensive coordinator calling plays, Carr's gotta go.

good theory but we have lost far more often than won during his career. I for one do not know if it will be different but if it is not, we will, on average, have a losing record this year. If that happens, I am sure you will come up with some reason that revolves around a linebacker or some such nonsenseIvanavich wrote Fri Aug 12, 2022 12:35 pm:The "I'd rather lose without Carr than win with Carr" crowd always buying the most expensive seats to boo from the closest spots.
This crowd has failed for 8 seasons... but still expects another season to be different.
