Looks like a good old fashioned venting took place. Understandable with a combination of today’s trade mixed with that certain level of anxiety and stress in the air with all the National and worldly things going on.Owsley Stanley wrote Tue Mar 08, 2022 7:58 pm:Not directed at you Willmark, but a general statement. All the yellow & red could have been easily avoided by folks simply staying on subject. Really quite simple.

I’m ok with this. Over the years, I’ve grown used to our debates about how good/bad Carr is and want to see the “this is the year!” threads continue indefinitely.Raider727 » Tue Mar 08, 2022 8:26 pm
I had to bump this because everything is fine....DrDUne wrote Tue Mar 08, 2022 11:09 am:

Broncos got better today, no doubt about it. We have gotten better this offseason by bringing in Ziegler and McDaniels. But now we wait and see what else they have in store for us this offseason, which still has a ways to go.Raider727 » Tue Mar 08, 2022 9:10 pm

So Wilson wanted to be traded to Vegas last season, this makes the trade to Denver even worse. This team just refuses to make bold moves to win. It’s almost like after the Carson Palmer trade, Mark Davis decided we will never make a block buster trade again, he’s scared to death to take chances now.

On point!ReturnOfTheMaxx wrote Tue Mar 08, 2022 7:27 pm:The value for the Raiders isn't and wasn't there.
Is Russell Wilson an upgrade over Carr? Yes.
Is Russell Wilson enough of an upgrade to warrant giving up two 1sts, two 2nds, a 1st round TE and a decent Dlineman? No, not even close.
The most I'm giving up for Russ is Carr, a 2nd and maybe a fringe player like Foster Moreau and there's no way Seattle take that.

Everybody panicking because the Broncos mortgaged there future when there not exactly primed for a runALLRAIDERWORLD21 » Tue Mar 08, 2022 10:46 pm

KC- SB winning QB
Denver- SB winning QB
LAC- QB on a faster pace than Manning in his first two seasons.
LV- QB playing at the same level as a rookie in NE.
The mental gymnastics on this one should be fun.

Yep, everything should be defense. McDaniels can make an offense work with two sticks and a match. Go heavy defense so Carr can sputter vs sub 500 teams and still win when he scores 14 points.Raider727 wrote Tue Mar 08, 2022 4:52 pm:The Raiders need to build a defense, instead of trying to please Carr and surround him with players that will elevate him instead of the other way around. Since Carr doesn't elevate players around him, 1st read, statue....

Wait, you say to draft defense because McDaniels can make an offense work with two sticks and a match and then in the very next sentence say Carr will struggle to score 14 points. , implying that we would have to draft defense to make up for an inept offense. So can McDaniels work with Carr or not? You are making two opposing points at once.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote Tue Mar 08, 2022 10:49 pm:Yep, everything should be defense. Seattle is paying most of his contract, the broncos wont have to worry about it for awhile. Any way you slice it, that was a good trade for the broncos.CWood24 wrote Tue Mar 08, 2022 10:06 pm:Everybody panicking because the Broncos mortgaged there future when there not exactly primed for a run
The simple of all this is could we afford to mortgage our future & give away 2 years of prime draft picks plus a couple of solid talents - the answer is 100% no
Now if we get an offer like this for Carr we should 100% take it
Imagine Washington coming in for Carr & offering us 2 1st’s, 2 2nd’s, Taylor Heinecke, Logan Thomas & say Matt Ioanniddis would you say no
But hey lets trade for Wilson then have him take up huge cap space & not be able to sign many FA plus have no future to work with. Russell Wilson is not winning a SB with this team the way it is just now we need those picks Denver traded to build a roster so i can’t believe i’m saying this but at the moment we’re better off with Carr but lets hope someone value’s him enough to package something like that together for him

Wilson has two years left in his contract, the Broncos did not trade him for 2 season. I think Wilson may get a contract more than Rogers apy. Many people are saying the Broncos won but it is to be determined.rich72 wrote Tue Mar 08, 2022 11:37 pm:Seattle is paying most of his contract, the broncos wont have to worry about it for awhile.
