He was such a great guy. He is a local here. Very nice guy and very charitable. He gave a lot to many causes. Sadly his wife has cancer as well and isn't doing well RIPAdamJoshua28 » Sat Dec 02, 2023 9:34 am
We must be in the same area, I went to Satellite High growing up and he pitched against us all the time. A girl I grew up with dated him and he wanted to marry her but she didn't want to get married, all those decades later he was still a friend to her and her family, he did a lot for the area, charities, signings to support local youth groups, etc., As a Red Sox fan I always loved the guy, he was the guy that never had a problem eating up innings to take one for the team, never complained and gave a true "home town discount" with his contract that was basically as long as the Red Sox wanted him and he wanted to play he would stay there for comparatively little money compared to what he could have got from other teams.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote Mon Oct 09, 2023 6:25 am:He was such a great guy.
