Do you think Carr should get a 40 mil a year contract cause that was the point not that Prescott is any better than Carr, that Carr doesnt deserve that sort of franchise handicapping salary especially since he fucked us over with his retiring if traded comments & the return he has provided so farWNYRAIDER wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 10:54 am:In a Dallas game i actually watched this past weekend, Prescott looked like shit on many of his throws. Brutally off the mark, repeatedly, regardless of his stat line.

We can hope he wouldn't be selfish and he tells his agent to "just get it done" without pushing for a huge raise. He doesn't seem the type to hold out or demand an entire Brinks truck full of cash.Lamonica_D wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 10:59 am:I said Carr's contract at the time was a deal because a lot of top QB's were coming into their new contracts.
Carr is the 17th highest paid QB today and giving us top 5 output. He is a bargain.
In my opinion his market value is 30-35 million.
I say he signs at 30 million and that will be one of the lowest for a QB.

I wouldn't have Mayfield no where near 1. 11 is around where Carr belongs.....Aqua wrote Mon Oct 18, 2021 9:25 am:Sirius NFL radio guys were talking this morning about which NFL QB's are currently performing the best. Someone made a list of 12 names which had Mayfield as number 1, Carr was 11, Joe Burroughs 12. I think Carr is a legitimate starting NFL QB but I don't believe signing him to another big dollar long term contract would be a good idea.

Could've sworn I heard a quote from him recently about how he's not interested in pushing the market value any further, and he is primarily concerned about having a good team around him. He also made it seem like this was a discussion that was had between him and Gruden/MayockFlyBono24 wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:12 am:We can hope he wouldn't be selfish and he tells his agent to "just get it done" without pushing for a huge raise. The more cap-friendly deal he takes, the better the entire team will be.... he has to see that by now. We signed some great FA's on defense and will need cap space to re-sign them, and sign some more guys to shore up the team.

Carr has played seven full seasons for the Raiders and during that time the team has only once had a winning season record.Lamonica_D wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 10:59 am:I said Carr's contract at the time was a deal because a lot of top QB's were coming into their new contracts.

I would prefer Carr over the likes of Bridgewater and Winston. A rookie QB probably is less of an option considering we most likely won't be selecting anywhere near the top 10, and don't have a ton of resources to get there.Aqua wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:17 am:Carr has played seven full seasons for the Raiders and during that time the team has only once had a winning season record.
Bridgewater is making about $4 million this year, Winston about $5 million. I am just saying there are veteran player possibilities other than signing a QB for $30 million per year or more. And remember that drafting a top college QB is also an option.

Carr is soo much better than Bridgewater and Winston it is not even funny.Aqua wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:17 am:Carr has played seven full seasons for the Raiders and during that time the team has only once had a winning season record.

The likes of a Carson Strong could be a possibility at the moment he’s a second round project, keep Carr the year then transition the year could be another option unless he takes us to a deep playoff run or a SB win this year i don't think the new big shiny contract should be forth comingNoThanksSir wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:19 am:I would prefer Carr over the likes of Bridgewater and Winston. Carr isn't an UFA until 2023. I see no reason to sign him to an extension before 2023 even if Goldberg is HC in 2022. We saw what happened with Callahan after the Super Bowl loss. Let Carr see what he can get on the open market. I bet it won't be what he thinks. The thing you miss is being able to trade him after this season...RaiderandBulldog » Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:29 am
This is a weak Qb class so more than likely Strong will be taken in the first.CWood24 wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:24 am:The likes of a Carson Strong could be a possibility at the moment he’s a second round project, keep Carr the year then transition the year could be another option unless he takes us to a deep playoff run or a SB win this year i don't think the new big shiny contract should be forth coming

This is kind of where I'm at. I almost feel like the current coaching staff should ride out their tenure with Carr's deal. If they don't get the job done by then, it's the perfect time to clean house.Fade2SilverAndBlack wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:26 am:Carr isn't an UFA until 2023. We don't really know how weak it is but there are a bunch interesting prospects who have intriguing skill sets that could make it at the next level sometimes you have to take a puntRaiderandBulldog wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:29 am:This is a weak Qb class so more than likely Strong will be taken in the first.

Considering the recent six year parade of underperforming QB's wearing a Broncos uniform that team's fans should be very grateful Bridgewater is there.Raiderman4 wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:26 am:Not sure if you been on the donkies forum but they fucking hate TB.

Few people are talking about him but Stanford's QB Tanner Mckee is up and coming.CWood24 wrote Tue Oct 19, 2021 11:46 am:We don't really know how weak it is but there are a bunch interesting prospects who have intriguing skill sets that could make it at the next level sometimes you have to take a punt
