The Mercury News limits the number of clicks you can give them before they ask for $. If you want to read some of their other articles, you might want to access the depth chart at raiders.com.

Edit: Same with San Francisco Chronicle.

So annoying. Sometimes I click on a marginal article not knowing it's a Mercury News and waste one of my "picks." :dazed:

I didn't know that Mercury News did that. I live in Missouri. My apologies.

Well...I was hoping some of the rookie D tackles could take starting spots....cant say Im not a little disappointed the depth chart doesnt reflect that. I guess that is good in a way...but it also says that maybe we were not as bad as I thought at D line. Now im kind of conflicted on how much improvement we will see with the D. I thought for sure we had upgraded a lot on the line....and not just depth.

Cook at #2?

Yikes. We're in trouble.

He's a pretty good FBS QB, but he's not NFL caliber.

The fact that the two rookies DT were not starters does not concern me. There will be a rotation at DT and think both Hall and Hurst will be used quite a bit when the opposing team is in passing downs. Plus, it makes sense that Jelly starts since he is very good against the run and thus would play first downs. Key will see a lot of playing time also - just not on first downs...but trust me, when opponents are in passing downs ....Key will be on the field. It is only the first depth chart.

That said, I was surprised that Cook is slated as the backup QB. A bit disappointed to see Ateman buried down the chart and hoping he moves up. RT looks thin....guess I was hoping Sharpe would surface or something....

Glad to see Richard ahead of Washington.

Hope N. Nelson continues to move up depth chart - think he will be a rookie who will contribute this year.

Vanderdoes better do something....I can see the Raiders trying to trade him. With the additions of Hall and Hurst along with the development of Hester - just don't see him making it. Unless they find a suitor for Edwards Jr. While there is a thread about a possible Mack trade - if there is a trade, I think it will involve the DT position not the DE position.

I hate the fact that Seth Roberts is even remotely close to being a top 3-4 receiver on this team! Hoping Switzer beats him out.
