Wasn’t Steve Vai there as well?HITMAN wrote Tue Jun 19, 2018 6:22 am:I thought Robert Johnson was at the crossroads! I can't wait to hear Obi play the blues...I hope Ralph Macchio doesn't show up

I never thought this guy could amount to much. I can't see any way he is making the team unless all the guys ahead of him are lost to injuries, God forbid. He had two frigging surgeries in his first season and neither was an ordinary surgery. I would be surprised if he lasts longer than his rookie contract in the NFL.Commit2Excel » Fri Aug 10, 2018 3:53 am
I think Obi is headed for practice squad at best. Would not be surprised if he is cut, or protected by injured reserve. He has not earned favor with the coaching staff per early reports out of camp, and when he did have a chance to play with the 1's due to injuries for the other Safeties, he gets injured again himself. Second round pick that is not panning out very well. Far more is expected from a second rounder in his second year.victvm » Fri Aug 10, 2018 4:45 am
He would cost 1.8m to cut now. 770k to cut next year. I believe that is even if they are put on the practice squad. Cutting him wouldn't save much of anything. Something like 700k. You may as well IR him is you think he has just had bad luck and could still be worth something.HITMAN » Fri Aug 10, 2018 6:25 am

If they cut him and he signs with another team (or, ideally, is picked up on waivers) then the team would likely get savings due to him likely having offset provisions in his contract. I don't pay any attention to the signing bonus proration part of the dead money, because it's going to hit your cap sometime no matter if you keep him or cut him - it's simply a timing difference.victvm wrote Fri Aug 10, 2018 4:45 am:He would cost 1.8m to cut now. 770k to cut next year. But if he can take to coaching he can be a heckuva player. If he cant find himself under gruden, no one else will.

Made of glass? Soft? You guys play any serious sports? You ever been around any pro football players? Give me a break and give Obi and Conley a break.HITMAN » Fri Aug 10, 2018 1:35 pm
Funny they don't seem to have an issue with Vanderdoes... and I wonder why?RunOverByHubbard wrote Fri Aug 10, 2018 1:19 pm:Made of glass? Soft? You guys play any serious sports? You ever been around any pro football players? Give me a break and give Obi and Conley a break.

Vanderdoes has more career starts than Conley, Obi, and throw in Chaz Shilens and secret Sam Williams combined. LolHITMAN wrote Fri Aug 10, 2018 1:35 pm:Funny they don't seem to have an issue with Vanderdoes... and I wonder why?

Well I see Obi can’t play slide after-all, he fucked up the deal at the crossroads. It appears he was supposed to be playing a bagpipe!
