I'd welcome the trade, but the fact that Gary keeps getting mocked to us is starting to concern me. Whether it's a case of there being a sliver of truth to us liking him or not, it screams a Gruden pick to me. Reminiscent of the Kolton Miller pick, athletic dude who hasn't proven shit. But this time in the top 10. God no.RunOverByHubbard wrote Tue Feb 12, 2019 2:28 pm:New mock at CBS Sports has us trading down with the Jags with us getting a quality RB in the deal.

Not a fan of MJD, but he literally has 5 DEs drafted by pick 8 (Montez Sweat at pick 8??).NoThanksSir wrote Wed Feb 13, 2019 5:03 am:I'd welcome the trade, but the fact that Gary keeps getting mocked to us is starting to concern me. Dont worry I am not. Those issues are huge reaches.RunDMLee wrote Sun Feb 10, 2019 9:27 pm:Allen went from average production to great production that is a huge question mark before this year he was a mid 1st round pick at best, counter moves & setting the edge
Bosa has question marks about his love of football something i’ve also seen labelled at his brother is he a team player or a me first guy, his play balance, stand up ability & has a very serious core injury that most know very little about.
Quinen Williams has questions marks over his experinece & the one thing that does worry me about him is his lack of counter moves fo such an elite prospect that will fly in college but in the NFL you need to have a flurry of moves to really be an elite guy
All the top prospects have issue dont let the media narrative that apparently there are only three top elite guy fool you, when it looked like we were gonna be sitting at 3 the media was running the narrative that there were only 2 top talent now its 3 all of a sudden,

Agreed, Fournette and Ferrell would be ideal.WolfRaider wrote Wed Feb 13, 2019 7:51 am:Love the trade but not the pick.
I like Gary, but not in the top 10, got the size and speed but best position is 3tec. Got a lot to learn but could be a really good player that can move around the line.
Ferrell would be the pick in that situation for me. Might not have the ceiling but would give us the edge player we need

Just looked at the Walter mock database. Of the mocks that have updated within the last 7 days for us at 4 it'sSkullboy » Wed Feb 13, 2019 6:38 pm
I vastly prefer Ferrell over Gary. I'll take Ferrell's proven production over Gary's potential every time. I'm still not crazy over Ferrell at 4. My hope remains for Josh Allen or Williams to fall to us, if they don't - then a trade down if at all possible, and only then choose Ferrell if no decent takers. Now Ferrell a bit later... that could be sweet.Jeevo » Wed Feb 13, 2019 7:43 pm
It serms like maybe a consensus, or at least a majority, opinion is kind of forming and it's the one you have outlined. I'm with you and do think we get a shot at Allen or QW.Skullboy wrote Wed Feb 13, 2019 6:38 pm:I vastly prefer Ferrell over Gary. Now if only Gruden and Mayock would give a crap about what fans say on this board...Ivanavich » Wed Feb 13, 2019 9:56 pm
I tentatively have concluded that there is very little difference in value between the #4 pick and the #16 pick in this draft class. That makes it much easier to just take the player I want the most.RunDMLee » Wed Feb 13, 2019 9:57 pm
Those issue are concerns whether you want to admit that or nothaji81872 wrote Wed Feb 13, 2019 7:02 am:Dont worry I am not. Those issues are huge reaches.
Bosa injury is the only concern. Love of the game? You must be joking. Play balance? No. I could care less about his stand up ability as he is versatile enough to play inside and out. I dont care if he can cover.
Qyinen Williams experience? Why on earth is that a problem for a D Lineman. QB I understand. This kid has played D line all his lifee Counter moves? He can use his strength and he has an excellent swim move he uses to beat double teams. His hands never quit working.
Josh Allen has the most question marks although rising from a mid first to a top three overall isnt one of them. If you are drafting him to set the edge then that would be a mistake. He can cover well though for an elite pass rusher. Counter moves can be taught.
I love Devin White but he has many concerns. Comes in to high to tackle and will over run plays. Not always balanced. Sruggles with man coverage. Processes slow and lacks some instincts. Causes him to get caught up in traffic at times.

That would be awesome for us although i would take Oliver over Gary. One thing i see wrong with this tho is that Coughlin is from the Parcells way of thinking when it comes to QBs.RunOverByHubbard wrote Tue Feb 12, 2019 2:28 pm:New mock at CBS Sports has us trading down with the Jags with us getting a quality RB in the deal.
