This would certainly solidify the rumors of Bill Callahan heading to the Bengals, assuming that the Raiders would allow Brian Callahan to interview for the OC job.https://twitter.com/JasonLaCanfo ... 9980607493Sources said that Raiders quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan, son of legendary offensive line coach Bill Callahan, would be a top choice to serve as an offensive coordinator, while the defensive staff is likely to be considerably more experienced. Taylor would like be able to mirror the model Rams coach Sean Taylor put in place, landing an accomplished defensive coordinator who himself had prior experience as a head coach. In this case, former Jaguars and Raiders coach Jack Del Rio and former Panthers, Broncos and Bears coach John Fox are very high on his list, with hopes of landing one of them to run his defense.

Hire Musgrave for OC and get the fuck rid of Olson.Corleone wrote Sun Jan 20, 2019 7:50 am:Bill Musgrave just got fired, and we now have a QB coach opening? Talk about stars aligning, I hope this happens.

Talk about an obvious move which could really turn this team around.kinz wrote Sun Jan 20, 2019 8:01 am:Hire Musgrave for OC and get the fuck rid of Olson.
Denver's offense with Case Keenum, their o-line, and an UDFA RB was better than ours.

Yep, Musgrave, Bill Callahan, and Hunt would all be very possible moves that would really put us forward. I agree that there is near zero chance.Corleone wrote Sun Jan 20, 2019 8:17 am:Talk about an obvious move which could really turn this team around.
Never happen in a million years.

He has worked with Carr, it makes sense, but doubt it happensCorleone wrote Sun Jan 20, 2019 7:50 am:Bill Musgrave just got fired, and we now have a QB coach opening? Talk about stars aligning, I hope this happens.

I like Musgrave's offense better than Gruden's but I don't see the philosophy fit as the reason he brought in Olson is because Olson runs a version of Gruden's WCO. Poor Bengals fans as JDR's defense is so conservative and vanilla that it only works with stacked talent like he had with the Broncos.Sir Raider Duck, OMS » Sun Jan 20, 2019 10:41 am
The Bengals' reputation as cheapskates must be preceding them again if the best they can do for OC is a guy (Callahan) with one year's experience as QB coach in an offense where neither he nor his direct superior (Olson) called the plays.coogi » Sun Jan 20, 2019 4:13 pm
Considering our qb is still carr the qb coach is irrelevant as his issues wont be fixed regardlessJRaider17 wrote Sun Jan 20, 2019 7:20 am:I mean considering we have Gruden and Olson the QB coach isn't a huge deal. I do think Callahan is a pretty good coach though so good for him.

Perhaps but Callahan is recognized as a very good OL coach, maybe not to the same degree as Alex Gibbs, but respected around the league.SkullCrusher wrote Sun Jan 20, 2019 5:36 pm:"son of legendary offensive line coach Bill Callahan"
Well that's a little thick.
