And we have heard stories from ex-players that they could smell his distinctive cologne and know he was around somewhere.Attyla wrote Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:04 pm:reports were he was out there daily. rode around in a golf cart. Huey spoke about how he would come up to him and discuss the game plan. Al was always tinkering with the game plan and making sure the team was ready. When the team came here in the first Kiffin year, I saw the team heading out for the walk through and Davis was out there with the rest going to the walk through.

So you are just flinging shit and speculating like all of us. Don’t feel bad.....here’s my take:Raidernation24 wrote Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:07 pm:It's not common. You dont have to be a football guru to know that, lol.

He would visit often, not the entire practice day after day. The main point is, AL was the owner, not the GM. The GM is responsible to provide discipline when needed. You dont have your GM send a 50k fine and then the player has to be around him all day the next day in practice. Regardless of these details, we should have never traded for AB if they werent prepared to treat him differently.Attyla wrote Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:12 pm:no, I told you I saw him out there every day. and we went to those practices every day as long as they didnt catch us. and he was out there every day.
sorry, you are making stuff up. Davis was a football guy, he loved being out there. remember, I also said Huey was discussing how he was out there every day in his golf cart.

Or AB could simply toe the line, be about the team and winning and helping and/or setting an example for the younger players and being an overall team leader. You know, the things he said. Instead he's getting frostbitten feet, crying about a helmet, posting pics on social media that have zero business being on and then threatening the GM of the football teamRaidernation24 wrote Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:07 pm:My point has been made over and over. They should have never traded for a square peg and try to fit it in a round hole.

He wasnt at practice every day, that isnt reality. You think 1 picture proves he was at practice every day?

Hey, I know its still preseason so I don't want to shatter any optimism....Raidernation24 » Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:20 pm
In a perfect world, if that was AB, we would have had to trade 2 1sts for him most likelyHellbound wrote Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:18 pm:Or AB could simply toe the line, be about the team and winning and helping and/or setting an example for the younger players and being an overall team leader. but you guys know this is only gonna get worse when Derek Carr doesn't connect with him as often as AB wants???? Just imagine when Derek phantom sacks himself, or hits his check down instead of a wide open AB..... the TWEETS will be coming haha.
Okay, not really funny.

The GM can do whatever the hell he wants when he wants regarding the team. He's the players and coaches boss. If the players are too thin skinned to deal with seeing someone after they've been disciplined that's on the player. The GM still needs to evaluate the team. What if Gruden had disciplined AB? Is Gruden supposed to not be there during practice since AB is there?Raidernation24 wrote Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:15 pm:He would visit often, not the entire practice day after day. Hell, with AB, Carr could hit him 10 times and he would still be hollering for more.TheWiz76 wrote Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:19 pm:Hey, I know its still preseason so I don't want to shatter any optimism....
