One reason we should always give a rookie a couple years before we get out our pitch forks. Ferrell had 8 tackles and 2.5 sacks. There has only been 4 rookies to do that since sacks became an official stat. The others are DeMarcus Ware, Kevin Williams, and Justin Smith. The sample size is still too small, but maybe we show him some love. To me it seemed as if some fire was lit on several of them. That game was a huge win , keep it going.RunOverByHubbard » Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:41 am
Some of us here kept a level head about him. Way too early to call a bust. But it’s an old story on any message board. All kinds of irrational stuff.Commit2Excel » Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:44 am
Nice game for Ferrel. Keep it going....maybe he is starting to "get it", and maybe he is back to full strength after his illness. Lets see if he can keep improving and come up big vs the Chiefs.WNYRAIDER » Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:45 am
I don't remember anyone credible going overboard on their criticism of him. More like the same over-caffeinated boneheads who overreact to everything.RenoRaiders75 wrote Fri Nov 08, 2019 3:33 am:One reason we should always give a rookie a couple years before we get out our pitch forks. The season is long and people often make up their mind about a player with too small of a sample size. Say Ferrell gets healthy and finishes the 2nd half strong and the bust conversation will all but vanish.GhostOfRaidersPast » Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:39 am
Sometimes calling a player out lights a fire under him.26 docofdeath » Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:41 am
I liked the play where Ferrell had Rivers around the neck.AutumnWind32 » Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:43 am
Maybe not, but I know of one who flat out called him TRASH. Come eat your f’n crow and apologizeTruR8r wrote Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:42 am:I think many were just disappointed he had not done much. Very few called him a bust. Either way he played great and hopefully keeps it up.

one good game doesn't make a player great, need to see more of that and less of the penalties.haji81872 » Fri Nov 08, 2019 7:16 am
Yep, just can't give him credit. Come on say something positive, it won't kill you.charlieinblack wrote Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:47 am:one good game doesn't make a player great, need to see more of that and less of the penalties.
onwards and upwards.
Yeah, I am sure that the Raider Forum calling him out caused him to perform last night.GhostOfRaidersPast wrote Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:39 am:Sometimes calling a player out lights a fire under him.

Its a simple formula.....if he plays well...we give him praise....He played well last night and made plays to help the team win.Commit2Excel wrote Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:44 am:Nice game for Ferrel. People were up in arms about Mack too, so fans need to be a bit patient.TruR8r wrote Fri Nov 08, 2019 5:42 am:I think many were just disappointed he had not done much. Very few called him a bust. Either way he played great and hopefully keeps it up.
