It never cost us the division it was gone alreadyr8rfanatic wrote Wed Mar 23, 2022 2:24 pm:He finished 3rd. MVP is never just about the numbers.
The injury happened, which cost them more than just Carr, it cost them potentially winning the division.
If the injury didn't happen, who knows? MVP was a definite possibility.

it was a broken leg. It was completely healed. If it had been a soft tissue injury you might have a case as some of those can take a long time to heal. But a broken leg, once healed does not cause pain once the bone is healed. Unless you are referring to it being in his head. That I would buy as it seems a lot of things get inside his headRaiderfanguy wrote Wed Mar 23, 2022 6:35 pm:Yes, it took him awhile after his injury to get back to how he was his first years. You can tell he cringed in the pocket alot, and his play showed that he wasn't as comfortable as he was prior to the injury. But yes, let's just wait and see how it goes.

and on the other side, the Patriots win 10 games with Troy Brown and Deion Branch as the primary targets, and we all know how great they wereFlyBono24 wrote Wed Mar 23, 2022 6:14 pm:Don't forget Peyton Manning winning a Super Bowl where he went 12-for-23 for 141 yards and 1 INT and got sacked 5 times... with no TDs.... but hey, we all know it's ONLY the QB and every other position doesn't matter.

Him not being able to get it done in KC was the biggest blow to the division that year. We win that we have a split with them, the division lead and are sitting in the #1 seed. Nope. Carr did his usual and shit the bed.r8rfanatic wrote Wed Mar 23, 2022 2:24 pm:He finished 3rd. MVP is never just about the numbers.

This thread is nothing short of amazing as to why nothing is Carr’s fault, the views in him and why some support him so blindly. In some cases it appears it has nothing to do with football as to why the devotion is so fervent.Hellbound » Thu Mar 24, 2022 4:56 am
Cool, another opinion being passed off as a factRaiderfanguy wrote Wed Mar 23, 2022 11:00 pm:It's pretty stunning that the best reciever in the league chose to play with the quarterback alot of you consider an average bum. I think I'll lean on Adams and go with him on this one. He has first hand knowledge.
FYI, If it weren't for Derek Carr, Devante Adams would not be a Raider.

On a different note - it's sad that we don't have a thread "the last time the Raiders had a number one receiver, we went 12-4". Even though that's not really true, at least it would cut to the heart of what Raider fans (should) want - team wins, instead of QB accolades.Attyla » Thu Mar 24, 2022 6:22 am
or "almost 13-3" since "almost" can allow us to hijack the thread into "The NFL is out to get us" which is an off season tradition.chucker wrote Thu Mar 24, 2022 6:15 am:On a different note - it's sad that we don't have a thread "the last time the Raiders had a number one receiver, we went 12-4". Stephen A, the much more established pundit, had a lot of positives to say about DC and the situation. I honestly don't know who the other guy is.Raider727 wrote Wed Mar 23, 2022 7:14 pm:https://youtube.com/watch?v=Ja6GrvyXAqQ
hopefully Carr didn't listen to this lol.

It's going to come fast! Especially once the draft hits. I fully expect to get a pick back in round 2, maybe even 1. We have some resources to unload for picks. Could be very wrong, but nothing is certain with this new leadership group.Xramfan wrote Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:40 am:Only 168 days to go.........

I actually agreed with both points. Rodgers choked like Carr and went one and done.bulldogsblue wrote Thu Mar 24, 2022 8:24 am:Stephen A, the much more established pundit, had a lot of positives to say about DC and the situation. I honestly don't know who the other guy is.
It sounds a lot like a live debate between posters on here would be. The other guy is focused on one game to illustrate DCs shortcomings. Stephen A did not refute it, but brought up an example of Aaron Rodgers not getting the job done and underperforming in the clutch, and called DC a "damn good brother himself".
That would be a confidence builder in my mind. But I'm just sitting in my office typing on a computer, not playing pro ball.
