I'd say this is likely pretty accurate...signal wrote Sat Sep 03, 2022 12:56 pm:This stat does not surprise me at all. It merely confirms two things.
One: Carr is good at presnap reads and at times anticipates the blitz before it actually happens.
Two: Carr is good at getting rid of the ball quickly and is prone to checking down.
I think the stat highlights some of his strengths but it may introduce a double edge sword of sorts. At times, Carr does not go through his progressions, even when he has the time, and can take the check down even though a WR down field may be on the verge of getting open. Hopefully with Adams on board, Carr will be more prone to go through his progressions with more faith that Adams or Waller may get open.

He’s in that special tier with Cousins and Garoppolo. A hair or two above average, but held from loftier heights by the inescapable capacity to just fuck it up. None of them are particularly savvy between the ears, and that lack of intelligence, especially in the tightest moments of a game, leads to their simple minds locking up catastrophically. Failure is inevitable for each of them.16 to 88 wrote Sat Sep 03, 2022 6:04 pm:Well, seeing there is only like 4 or maybe 5 maybe 6 elite QB's in the league then that would put him in with the rest of the solid starters?
GoodTimeCharlie » Sat Sep 03, 2022 8:32 pm
Never said a thing about “starter” or “solid starter”. I would agree that he’s a starter. 1 of 32 starters in the NFL.16 to 88 wrote Sat Sep 03, 2022 8:27 pm:So you are saying he is a "hair" or two above average and don't agree he is a solid starter?

I commented to another poster a page back regarding Carr being a solid starter and you chimed in that he is a hair above average. So out of 1-32 give me a specific number. And while you are at it tell me how many yards he will throw for this year, how many TD's, how many INT's.GoodTimeCharlie » Sat Sep 03, 2022 9:00 pm
By “chiming in” do you mean that I commented on a post in a forum? Are we all “chiming in”, or is that description reserved for your favorites?16 to 88 wrote Sat Sep 03, 2022 8:35 pm:I commented to another poster a page back regarding Carr being a solid starter and you chimed in that he is a hair above average. Cute. Passive-aggression, then retraction masked with humor.16 to 88 wrote Sat Sep 03, 2022 9:22 pm:Did I say there was anything wrong with chiming in?
No, I didn't. As a matter of fact it's just the opposite. I look forward to others thoughts/discussions/ideas. That's why I asked you in the first place and why I come on here.
I asked a simple question which you have completely avoided. If it takes you to the end of the season to calculate how he will do when the writing is on the wall I find that laughable. Hey! I knew the rams were going to win the Super Bowl right after they won it! And no, I don't need to know what you think especially if it takes you to the end of the season! <---- goofy!

Actually, BB was a fucking douche bag who notoriously ran up the score on teams and had Brady slinging late in games when the outcome was already decided. I hate when coaches unnecessarily expose QB's when a win is secured (see douche bag JDR on 12/24/16 when he potentially cost a legitimate chance for a Super Bowl and DC a chance at the league MVP).rich72 wrote Mon Sep 05, 2022 2:07 am:Brady wasnt stat padding though, he was winning games.

That is your take and that is cool. At the time of the injury, there was no denying DC was being talked about as a candidate of being an MVP and we were on our way to being the #1 seed in the AFC.Hellbound wrote Mon Sep 05, 2022 4:15 am:That team wasn't winning the SB and Carr wasn't winning MVP
