Crabs had some good catches, including a TD, but it's not like we fed him the ball either. Murray gets his, Walford, Reece, Roberts... we've just got so many guys who can legitimately make plays. A good problem to have...

Analysis of Taiwan Jones toss plays with video.
Taiwan Jones is fast, sometimes faster than the OT who is lead blocking, making it difficult for the OT to make the block. I'd like to see what Taiwan Jones would do if he went for the sideline instead of naturally going up the middle.
He appears strong enough to break tackles, and certainly has the speed, as well as the moves, but following blocks isn't exactly where he is best. Or maybe, the speed disparity between Jones and Howard is quite significant. On that 19 yard play, it seemed that it would've been best had T Jones cut between Lee Smith, who had flattened his man and Howard, who didn't make his block because T Jones had just run so fast that Howard couldn't get there in time.
On the other toss play, T Jones jumped over Smith and the flattened defender (Lee Smith tends to just crush and immobilize the only defender who can stop the play for a loss). A LB, on that play, was unblocked and tackled T Jones for a 3 yard gain and a first down. With T Jones, it might just be best if he got to the sideline as fast as possible and then to use his speed, quickness, moves, power to evade or break tackles from anyone who is out there. He tends to get quick yards quickly, but he's gaining those yards where there are a lot of tacklers, and he does get tackled. He breaks tackles, he eludes tackles with quickness, cuts, moves, but that tackle breaking, those cuts and moves add a second or 2, and pursuit catches up. Watch and see who makes the tackle on the 19 yard run, it was a pass rusher (DE Ricardo Matthews 6'2 290 4.95). Get outside, break one dbacks ankles and then run full speed. T Jones breaks ankles like Cooper does, but Jones has the tendency to go inside, where there are tacklers, and Cooper tries to get outside, where there are none.

Jones is the perfect compliment to Murray and I'm glad the coaching staff is playing to our players strengths. Always felt he could contribute ever since that Charger game where he converted almost 20 yards on a toss behind the line of scrimmage. Allen had me thinking his talents would go to waste, so glad that isn't what ended up happening with JDR.regret » Sun Nov 01, 2015 6:25 pm
Rainman, this one is a little too long for a gif.Big Primo » Sun Nov 01, 2015 6:49 pm

So Rainman was right all along? Got any stock tips Rainman? I'm guessing you feel a bit better about Musgrave now though?
