Because Rainman liked him and touted him in a silly little thread that the detractors for some reason couldn't ignore.RunOverByHubbard wrote Thu Jul 27, 2017 1:09 pm:I am not sure why anyone would celebrate the cutting of Jones. OK, he fumbled a couple of times, but he did a lot for the team while here. I for one, will miss The Beast.
What are the odds he is on another roster come opening game? I say 80%.

This was expected. I like the dude. played whatever position we needed him to play. no complaints as far as I know. played his role. best of luck to him where ever he goes. great gunners but thats about it. Hopefully our special teams won't take a hit with all these core ST players leaving.raiderkoch » Thu Jul 27, 2017 1:28 pm
I think Reggie knows what he is doing. Exhibit L: http://www.nfl.com/player/marcelreece/4433/profileDepressed » Thu Jul 27, 2017 1:35 pm
His obsession with him was as annoying and obnoxious as Randoms obsession with Pryor or the Al Davis defenders.CarrKnight wrote Thu Jul 27, 2017 1:17 pm:Because Rainman liked him and touted him in a silly little thread that the detractors for some reason couldn't ignore.

Take a look at last years stats.

A seventh-year position player with no value outside special teams? More like 10%, if that.RunOverByHubbard wrote Thu Jul 27, 2017 1:09 pm: What are the odds he is on another roster come opening game? I say 80%.

I disagree with your first sentence. Random and the Al defenders couldn't handle one bit of criticism of their heroes without launching paragraphs of defense. Rainman responded with a quippy saying.Depressed wrote Thu Jul 27, 2017 1:35 pm::kiss: His obsession with him was as annoying and obnoxious as Randoms obsession with Pryor or the Al Davis defenders.
Rain man had the decency to contain it in his own circle jerk.

I like him gone because he just seemed like a waste of time and a roster spot.RunOverByHubbard wrote Thu Jul 27, 2017 1:09 pm:I am not sure why anyone would celebrate the cutting of Jones. OK, he fumbled a couple of times, but he did a lot for the team while here. I for one, will miss The Beast.

An average NFL career last what 3 seasons? He was on the team 6 seasons and made decent money. He was a fourth round pick that survived ownership changes, management changes, coaching changes and even a position change.speedkills21 » Thu Jul 27, 2017 2:32 pm
he will catch on somewhere, will be injuries some team will need a gunner and third string running backDepressed wrote Thu Jul 27, 2017 2:04 pm:An average NFL career last what 3 seasons? I'd say he beat the odds. Thank you for your service, but it's time to move on. Best of luck.
