Supposedly slept with her and what does having an affair have to do with loyalty to Al Davis? He expected loyalty to him, hell he had drug addicts, alcoholics and a lot worse on his rosters and never batted an eyelash. He didn't like Allen coming out of college, and went with the recommendations of scouts and staff with Allen.LaRaider2010 wrote Mon Aug 06, 2018 10:56 pm:ha, not a fumble, Marcus slept with his best friend OJ simpsons wife Nicole Brown Simpson and that pissed off Al Davis big time. Al is all about loyalty and thats what Al's issue with Marcus was about.

Don't get me started. Your biased take on Al Davis the Man is annoying and always has been. Let me get this straight, you are saying that Al used his first ever top ten NFL pick on a player he didn't want? I don't know how many times over the years you have stated that Al didn't listen to anyone and did things his way. And now you're going to say that he let his scouts pick a player that he "didn't want" with his first top ten pick?! Pure bullshit! And this he had alcoholics and drug addicts on his team and never batted an eye. That was normal back in the 70's with all NFL teams, not just the Raiders. In the 70's players did lines and drank and every team had it's cases. After the 80's, Al's teams were just as clean as any other random NFL team. In fact, they were cleaner than most if you paid any attention to suspensions and arrests. And then you add "a lot worse" to the end of your sentence. What the fuck does that mean? Did Al have murderers or child molesters on his teams? What are you on about here? Al may have been easy on players who partied on their own time, but Al never harbored "a lot worse" on his teams. If he had knowledge of "a lot worse" he would have cut them on the spot.HITMAN wrote Tue Aug 07, 2018 5:52 am:Supposedly slept with her and what does having an affair have to do with loyalty to Al Davis? As dumb a post as you'll read in a month. And that's a long time in this dumbed down world...HITMAN wrote Tue Aug 07, 2018 5:52 am:Supposedly slept with her and what does having an affair have to do with loyalty to Al Davis? The downfall of the team, IMHO, began with the benching of Beuerlein and the trade for Jay Schroeder. We'd just swindled an All-Pro Left Tackle from the Chargers and then flipped him for a cannon-armed but woefully inconsistent QB, all because Beuerlein (one of exactly TWO college QBs Al ever successfully developed) had the temerity to question his contract and Al took it personally.Fade2SilverAndBlack » Sun Aug 12, 2018 8:03 pm
>>>>Then there was the shelter caper. At five o'clock on the frigid morning the Raiders were playing the Jets for the AFL championship in Shea Stadium, a work crew talked its way onto the field and erected a weather shelter over the Oakland bench. "We'll build one for the Jets later," they said as they left. Only the fact that it blocked the view of fans in the stands prevented Davis from getting away with it.<<<<HITMAN » Mon Aug 13, 2018 5:26 am
