I’m down with that.Davis better be smart(for a change) and allow the process to happenchucker wrote Fri Jan 27, 2023 12:19 pm:I want the presumed future QB on the roster. A drafted QB learning behind Brady would be awesome. I'm willing to give up the 7th overall to do that and forego the guaranteed 2023 impact starter that we definitely would have had with that pick.

He was high on my list at the beginning of this thread..bummer about his kneeArsenal Raider wrote Fri Jan 27, 2023 12:14 pm:Agreed. I think Hooker is being severely overlooked because of his age, the system he's in, and because of Hyatt. One of the cases of "yeah he played great in college, but it won't translate to the NFL."
I absolutely think he can be developed. A more realistic prospect than Richardson IMO.
2022: 27 TDs only 2 INTs, 69.6% completion percentage
2021: 31 TDs only 3 INTs, 68.2% completion percentage
He's accurate (especially downfield), shifty, hangs tough in the pocket, and doesn't turn the ball over.

You're not gonna fit in here if you have an open mind. Probably need a timeout.HesterLayes wrote Fri Jan 27, 2023 12:24 pm:I’m down with that.Davis better be smart(for a change) and allow the process to happen

I like this perspective. We 'may' win one playoff game next year with Brady and a lucky streak, but we won't go any further imo because we have too many holes at important positions.chucker wrote Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:53 am:I want a first round QB....... regardless of who is actually starting. I picked Stidham, but I'd even be ok with Brady. My issue with Brady is that if we add Brady I want to plan to be the same as if we had Stidham - build a team for the long term. I worry that Brady would lead to short term thinking on the supporting cast. I cringe whenever someone says that if we sign Brady we can't draft a development QB at 7 because we need an immediate contributor at 7.

I saw enough from Stidham to take a chance on him versus all the 2nd tier QB's available...I want no part of the Geriatrics..Hell No! Spend on D & get a QB in the draft. How many Geriatrics are in the final 4?? ZEROtatalalicious » Fri Jan 27, 2023 2:44 pm
Brady would have been great had he came to Vegas instead of TB. Now it feels like getting someone's old hand-me-downs. I'm ok with seeing if he has anything left, but I want the Raiders to draft a qb with their 1st pick or it may be awhile that we pick this high.Jeremyturner1976 wrote Fri Jan 27, 2023 1:38 pm:I like this perspective. So unless the plan is to double down around a 47 year old Brady in '24, we likely don't see any 'real' results. It makes sense that Brady should only happen without going all in.
I am even fine with trading up if they love a QB this year, and even more so with this reality added in now.
Stidham and waiting until '24 is a solid second option also, I really don't see us transforming a FA QB into a Geno Smith so we need some young blood.

I’m from the bay and listen to local sports talk radio as well as read daily on what’s happening around sports and the only place I ever hear about Brady to the 9ers is on this forum. Can you provide any links to so called whispers?16 to 88 wrote Tue Jan 17, 2023 11:05 pm:Maybe this will change your mind.
Think of this... there are whispers around the league that the 49ers will be going after him.
No we are not the 49ers defensively but the point is, it sounds as if they would love to add that 46 year old man to there offense! If true that speaks volumes about how a team that is currently in the hunt for the Lombardi see how significant an impact he would make on their offense.

The veteran players on offense are perfect to SUPPORT a young QB (or two).HesterLayes wrote Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:57 am:I see your point.
I see a pretty young team overall with a few older pieces on offense(Adams/Waller).
My thinking is that we are going to be young as shit next year with all of the picks and holes on defense and guard.
I really don’t think adding Tom is going to change their building plan.
I believe you can have both.An elite savvy vet and an overall young team.
Dark Horse » Fri Jan 27, 2023 3:33 pm
The teams interests and Brady's likely interests won't coincidence. No, you can't build a young core and be SB contenders the same time. If you are a contender it's because you already have that in place.HesterLayes wrote Fri Jan 27, 2023 12:15 pm:Guy had 40 tds last couple years before the shot show he dealt with this year.
I’m telling ya..we can have both.A killer at QB and a young building team.
I want to see the in KC in December when it’s cold AF with the division on the line.

All Brady is gonna do is skew expectations and delay the process of building the team for the long hall. And when it's all over, the Carrdashian hardliners are gonna to be revitalized.Jeremyturner1976 wrote Fri Jan 27, 2023 1:38 pm:I like this perspective.
