Perhaps you are right.Willmark wrote Sun Jan 29, 2023 6:21 pm:If we go with one in the second I’d go with Tanner McKee. He’s going to need to sit much like some other “highly touted” QB on this board. Difference is we’re not spending a 1st on him.
Perhaps if we go the route of Brady they are thinking a QB after the 1st.

If "the guy" McDaniels might like doesn't fall to him I wouldn't be surprised to see them do the patriot way thing and at different points in the draft (not necessarily #7) move down to acquire more picks. Wouldn't be surprised the pick(s) we get for Carr are used on a quarterback.Willmark wrote Sun Jan 29, 2023 6:21 pm:If we go with one in the second I’d go with Tanner McKee. Not saying we were the favorite for Brady, but we were definitely in the mix.GUYDON » Mon Jan 30, 2023 7:08 pm
Again, we can have Brady AND a rookie. It doesnt have to be one or the other. OR maybe the keep stidham as the future guy and put him behind brady one more year. Maybe they think Garbers is the guy of the future. Who knows what they are thinking. We just have to let it play outHesterLayes » Mon Jan 30, 2023 7:29 pm
I agree we can have Tom and a rook.GUYDON wrote Mon Jan 30, 2023 7:08 pm:Again, we can have Brady AND a rookie. It doesnt have to be one or the other. Give me Brady and McKee. After looking on him I like his skills for this offense.GUYDON » Mon Jan 30, 2023 8:01 pm
I want a qb that will do this...HesterLayes » Mon Jan 30, 2023 8:35 pm
Yes…I despise the Cowboys, but Aikman was legit.Brady gets in peoples asses…I just don’t think it happens much anymore.I know our old QB definitely wouldn’t.GUYDON wrote Mon Jan 30, 2023 8:01 pm:I want a qb that will do this...

Great QB's always stand out as great, and will be remembered long after they have retired.HesterLayes wrote Mon Jan 30, 2023 8:35 pm:Yes…I despise the Cowboys, but Aikman was legit.Brady gets in peoples asses…I just don’t think it happens much anymore.I know our old QB definitely wouldn’t.

I’ve seen and read about Young getting in his teammates shit if they weren’t performing.ICWood24 » Mon Jan 30, 2023 9:37 pm

Doubt he cusses like Aikman(he is a Christian),but he is definitely not afraid to tear a new one

That worries me some especially if he is getting in there shit when it is him that has threw them under the bus like Carr although if it is just general accountability then that a great thingHesterLayes wrote Mon Jan 30, 2023 8:50 pm:I’ve seen and read about Young getting in his teammates shit if they weren’t performing.I

Signing Brady now makes a lot of sense considering Purdy may not be ready for training camp or the beginning of the season. With their defense and offensive weapons I can see the 49ers as Brady’s pick as it’s the easiest road to another Super Bowl.HesterLayes wrote Mon Jan 30, 2023 6:46 pm:Not saying we were the favorite for Brady, but we were definitely in the mix.
Purdy is out six months.I’m wondering if they will pursue Tom now.The Lance situation ,like Love,is very interesting.
Two first rounders you know they want to see start.

So it appears Purdy might be looking at Tommy John surgery (worst case scenario). That is about a 9-12 month absence.
