Was bored and was going through the thread..interesting stuff.I was on Young from the get go and I loved Hooker until the injury :(Ivanavich wrote Sat Oct 01, 2022 7:04 pm:You should do a better job of reading the tea leaves.
Mc D had "his" QB in NE. Didn't want a kid. He freely picked Carr as "his" QB.
You might not like his choice. But, no matter how many times you fill this board with "Raiders must draft a 1st round QB in 2023" propaganda... Mc D already made his choice.
Suck it up and enjoy the ride!

Grabbing Hooker in the later rounds could be in cards.raiders93 » Wed Jan 25, 2023 11:31 am
This. I normally don’t buy into the “he’s not a team player” thing… but the Rodgers antics are infuriating. He’s been holding Green Bay hostage for 3 years with ominous threats of retirement or playing his last game there.HesterLayes wrote Tue Jan 24, 2023 2:22 pm:Besides the money and draft picks..the guy is an ass.Not a team guy and it’s always someone else’s fault.we don’t need that type of leader when we are trying to build an identity.

Former GM Thompson quit because he did not want to be the GM who had to get rid of Rodgers.raiders93 wrote Wed Jan 25, 2023 11:31 am:This. He publicly thrashed them for their treatment of veterans and failing to involve him in personnel decisions. Finally after 2 years of basically taking it in the ass from him they manage to resign him…. To a record deal that directly leads to Adams getting traded. Suddenly doesn’t care about treatment of veterans. And 1 year later is back to ominous threats of “not knowing his future”.
So to Rodgers I say fuck no. he’s well past the point of caring about a championship. Rodgers wants to get paid what he wants, get the guys that he wants (leave it up to the team to figure out how), blame it on the team if it doesn’t work out…. And bail on you in a heartbeat even if you just gave him a massive extension.

Right now I dont want Rodgers. Two 1st round picks plus the $$ he will make. Let him go to the Jets....Attyla » Wed Jan 25, 2023 12:41 pm
I see we are making things up again. Thompson was not the GM any longer when he resigned due to illness that ended up killing him later that year.Ivanavich wrote Wed Jan 25, 2023 12:14 pm:Former GM Thompson quit because he did not want to be the GM who had to get rid of Rodgers.
I am assuming that you are referring to LaFleur? That is not why he was hired. He was largely considered one of the best offensive minds in the game, having surged Matt Ryan to MVP honors and taking the Rams offense to the most prolific scoring offense in league.Packers hired a kid HC specifically to piss Rodgers off and want out.
This is all just made up. There is no evidence that your "certain" conversation happened. And there is no evidence that they "wanted him to leave." Actually the evidence of his contract suggests just the opposite.Rodgers got pissed off that they wanted him to leave... and spent 2 covid affected seasons winning enough regular season games to keep his job - fans would have revolted - but the 3rd covid affected season didn't yield enough wins without a WR and a TE to fill the talent gap there. I am certain that Rodgers was told 3 seasons ago that if the Packers missed the playoffs, then he was going to be traded.
This was reported prior to the last game. Rodgers kept his jersey, this is true, and him waving to the fans is not evidence of anything. That is done by players all the timeIf you watch the end of the Packers last game, there is footage of Rodgers refusing to trade his game jersey and saying goodbye to the fans. Rodgers is a goner.
Politics has nothing to do with it. Simply put, most of this post is wild conjecture on your part, not evidence based at all. If Rodgers is traded, he will want a team that gives him the best chance to win. Pure and simple. Now, politics prevents both sides from releasing this information. Packers want the highest trade package and the highest salary dump. Rodgers wants to pick his team (of those who make a high enough offer to the Packers GM).
It is your opinion. Geography means nothing. I live in TN but that does not make me an expert on country music. I have even been to a couple country music concerts. That means dick. You living in Wisconsin and having attended a few games does not validate your post at all.You can call this my opinion. (I live in Wisconsin and watch most of the Packers games on TV and have gone to a few games also.)

yea well, saying that Ted Thompson quit as the GM because of any reason other than his health was way out of line, even for Ivan.RI RAIDER wrote Wed Jan 25, 2023 2:10 pm:If I was his corner man, I would have thrown the towel in after your first couple of sentences. What a beat down.

Unless Davis has specifically told Ziegler & McDaniels they have at least 3 years to build this roster back up then in no way should we touch any QB projects in the 1stAttyla » Thu Jan 26, 2023 4:49 am
yea, didn't you know that every QB with accuracy issues in college can be fixed at the next level?CWood24 wrote Wed Jan 25, 2023 9:37 pm:Unless Davis has specifically told Ziegler & McDaniels they have at least 3 years to build this roster back up then in no way should we touch any QB projects in the 1st
Josh Allen has got people thinking the odds of fixing a QB are way higher than they are when in fact he is the exception to the rule
We have to role with a Vet & Stidham this year & through picks & some cash at the D,
One thing no one is talking about is Detroit being a player in the QB stakes they have 2 picks in the top 18 so could reasonably pick a QB at #6 & sit him behind Goff for a year or so
4 Qb’s in the top 6 isnt that out there of a shout with the QB needy teams this year
Dark Horse » Thu Jan 26, 2023 6:00 am
That is completely wrong. Josh Allen was not "fixed", he was patiently developed over three years and became a more consistent player. He still has the same basic weaknesses and strengths, but he has managed to improve upon both. He can't be the exception to the "rule" because there aren't many QB's period that possess his level of talent entering the draft, in this history of the draft. Josh Allen had raw physical talent as well as a lot of skills and attributes you want in an NFL QB and that's why he was going to be a top half first rounder regardless of his deficiencies.CWood24 wrote Wed Jan 25, 2023 9:37 pm:Unless Davis has specifically told Ziegler & McDaniels they have at least 3 years to build this roster back up then in no way should we touch any QB projects in the 1st

So Josh Allen fixing his mechanics isn't fixing a QB okay we have a new narrativeDark Horse wrote Thu Jan 26, 2023 6:00 am:That is completely wrong. Ivan completely ignores that he told me to quit filling the board with a new QB in ‘23 and Carr is the guy…yet he still posts on this threadAttyla » Thu Jan 26, 2023 7:42 am
he tends to ignore when he gets things wrong. The duck and hide technique is well documented.HesterLayes wrote Thu Jan 26, 2023 7:18 am:Ivan completely ignores that he told me to quit filling the board with a new QB in ‘23 and Carr is the guy…yet he still posts on this thread
