I agree about trading down. I also agree with someone else's comment that BPA is not an exact science. But you literally have months to put together a board and you best and brightest are using your particular rating system to get those BPA's in a correct order.NoThanksSir wrote Wed Nov 30, 2022 8:07 pm:I'm with you on that. Pick any position on defense and we have a need. If an all pro guy is there at any position in the top 10 you take him. It's pretty simple.
If we don't go QB, I am less interested in a trade down. I feel like good talent will fall if a few QBs go early. The value will be good if we pick within 8-13. Too good to trade down

I'm not yet well-versed enough to make a truly informed choice, but I want us to take a swing on a QB. It's time to try to find the next guy, and the first guy picked often doesn't turn out as the best. We'll never hit on a QB if we never try.HesterLayes » Thu Dec 01, 2022 7:58 am
We will be a few spots lower when it’s all said and done.chucker wrote Thu Dec 01, 2022 7:12 am:I'm not yet well-versed enough to make a truly informed choice, but I want us to take a swing on a QB. if raiders are low/mid teens and trenton simpson is there, not a problem with the pickCWood24 wrote Thu Dec 01, 2022 12:17 am:
It’s why i’ve advocated for Trenton Simpson even if we were top 5 a do it all LB with crazy athleticism who can play inside or out & sideline to sideline
His biggest weaknesses are that he occasionally gets over aggressive when tackling meaning he will miss at times & block shedding when rushing from the middle but they are things that can be corrected
He has the perfect trifecta you’d want in a LB in size, speed & power

That would be my preference too, just don't think we'll do it in the first.chucker wrote Thu Dec 01, 2022 7:12 am:I'm not yet well-versed enough to make a truly informed choice, but I want us to take a swing on a QB. don't do this to me man...it's too early in the morning i'm trying to see this gm as a little more stable than the gruden/mayock comboHesterLayes wrote Thu Dec 01, 2022 8:06 am:you’re going to mad,man lol

To be fair, right around where we will be picking Mayer is slotted. He’s an excellent player and would be a great fit.He is not a reach for need like Gruden would do.TallMarvin wrote Thu Dec 01, 2022 8:08 am:don't do this to me man...it's too early in the morning i'm trying to see this gm as a little more stable than the gruden/mayock combo

I agree with this if there is one worthy. I get how we can think front end or back end is most important, but we can never get good on D and all we really try to address is front and back and assume the middle is tacked on. We need to be good there, last time we were good there, 2002 the D was pretty good. We can't get out of the fucking 20's on D and we never think, "well maybe those guy(s) more in the middle are important to?", yeah no shit.NoClapsPlease wrote Wed Nov 30, 2022 10:34 pm:We need to be drafting a linebacker at 9
This group is the worst I’ve ever seen in terms of coverage. They cannot diagnose plays pre snap and just end up covering empty spots on the field when we play zone. It’s embarrassing.

I just want a starting quality player who can stay on the roster for their entire rookie contract. If we manage that then I'll believe we are finally drafting like a normal NFL franchise.HesterLayes » Thu Dec 01, 2022 11:56 am
I want a QB and defense for sure, but if Mayer is there I’d love him.Re-sign Foster if reasonable and trade freaking Waller.Pseudoscot wrote Thu Dec 01, 2022 11:28 am:I just want a starting quality player who can stay on the roster for their entire rookie contract. I don't really care about the position. We have so many holes in the roster that any player who can contribute effectively will be a good pick.
I watch every ND game. Mayer is the best TE I've seen play for them and there's some quality names on that list. If that's the pick we won't be disappointed. He's absolutely a top of the first round pick.

I’ll feel the kind of relief that one might feel if the Doc came in and said, “You have my deepest apologies. There’s no such thing as cancer of the cock. We’ve canceled the surgery and you’ll be heading home…with your penis.”Xramfan wrote Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:07 pm:The day the turd is gone I will party harder than St Patricks Day
