Michael Mayer is more of a Jason Witten-lite than the second coming of the great Dave Casper.Ismail86 wrote Sat May 27, 2023 9:04 am:I'm in the same boat. "Ghost 2" is a little lofty but I'm thrilled with the 2 of them on paper. However, I'm also very unfamiliar with Wilsons foot injury and that scares me.

That's the spirit. Let's dismiss every rookie before they play a down in the NFL.Sonic Raider wrote Fri Jun 02, 2023 8:31 am:Michael Mayer is more of a Jason Witten-lite than the second coming of the great Dave Casper.

From Tafur's write up...Mayer went on to become the state of Kentucky’s Mr. Football and then went to Notre Dame to follow in a long line of NFL tight ends. College teammates called him “Baby Gronk” — the 6-foot-5, 249-pound Mayer wears No. 87 and is built like a tank — but Mayer has always been more partial to the Chiefs’ Travis Kelce than the retired Patriots star Rob Gronkowski. Yeah, Kelce also wears No. 87.
“The way he runs his routes, the way he does his thing, man, it’s like no other,” Mayer said of Kelce. “He’s expanding the tight end game greatly. And so I’ve got to go with Trav. Got to meet him last summer. Great guy. And just to watch film on him, see how he plays his game, he’s tremendous at the tight end position and he’s doing amazing things for the tight end position, too.”

Who is dismissing him. Jw was a damn good player.signal wrote Fri Jun 02, 2023 9:11 am:That's the spirit. Let's dismiss every rookie before they play a down in the NFL.
Goodness knows, the offseason is not the time for hope, no, it is the time to bemoan any and every move made by your favorite team and definitely the time to dismiss any rooks before they get a chance to play a down in the sliver and black.

Maybe I assumed incorrectly that he meant the Jason Witten that played for the Raiders and not the one who played for Dallas. Same dude but not the same player.vtraider wrote Fri Jun 02, 2023 10:27 am:Who is dismissing him. Jw was a damn good player.
