EDIT >> He Failed.Mark Davis has never been one to hold back his thoughts. That continued when he recently ranted about the NFL's proposed rule change while taking a shot at one of the team's bitter rivals.
At the recent NFL owner meetings, a new rule was proposed to allow games to be shifted from Sunday to Thursday night with just 15 days' notice. In 2006, the NFL adopted a similar rule that allowed late-season games to be flexed from Sunday during the day to Sunday night. However, this new rule is in a whole different ballpark. Changing games from Sunday to Thursday would not only affect the health of players but would also affect fans who had plans to see their teams play. The deal did not go through, as multiple owners, including Mark Davis, were adamantly against the proposal. When asked about it, Davis said:
"Just make the schedule and play it."
https://atozsports.com/las-vegas/raider ... le-change/“If you have a Raiders-Chargers game in Las Vegas scheduled for a Thursday,” Davis said, “and all of the fans driving from Los Angeles – the Raiders fans and all three Chargers fans – buy their tickets and book their hotels, how in the hell do you schedule it and now say, ‘Sorry, it’s now on Sunday?’ How in the hell do you do that?”

I get it he thinks he is being funny but that shit does not come out of the mouths of any other owners. Being petty to an entire fanbase (more than three) is some bullshit, even a division rival.Attyla » Mon May 22, 2023 3:23 pm

I have no problem when they moved them from Sunday day to Sunday night. Switching to Thursday will screw a lot of fansRaider727 » Mon May 22, 2023 4:46 pm
I don't really care Mark Davis took a jab at the dolts. The Raiders should have stayed in Cali, but Kroenke knew the Raiders would take over L.A., so he preferred the chargers and their 3 fans instead.16 to 88 » Mon May 22, 2023 7:41 pm
Sure you can. Just because we haven't been significant for a very long time on the field still doesn't mean that you can't point out what should be the obvious.Willmark wrote Mon May 22, 2023 6:20 pm:While the comment is funny, as a franchise we can't really bag on anyone, just saying.

It does seem like an odd comment coming from a team whose stadium was completely taken over the last few gamesWillmark wrote Mon May 22, 2023 6:20 pm:While the comment is funny, as a franchise we can't really bag on anyone, just saying.

Markie is lucky the Raiders have any fans left. He should remember he's standing on daddy's shoulders. The greatness of the Raiders is in the past.heavyD » Tue May 23, 2023 10:44 am
I’m kind of surprised he would say that. Mark needs to focus on building a winning football team before he can trash talk other organizations. As some have already mentioned, the comments don’t look great when you consider Allegiant stadium is pretty hospitable to opposing fans.Trainnvain » Tue May 23, 2023 10:49 am
Is Mark selling those tickets to opposing fans?Amish Cabal » Tue May 23, 2023 11:24 am
Though I generally agree with Mark's statement, his lack of knowledge has generated a loser. Mark oversaw Raider games being the most expensive ticket in the country. I boycotted attendance to Raider games 5 years ago, as I don't care to spend a mint watching a loser. So in a roundabout way, yes. Mark can take a lion's share of credit for the crashing attendance of Raider Nation.Trainnvain wrote Tue May 23, 2023 10:49 am:Is Mark selling those tickets to opposing fans?
