I do not base my interest in a guy based on stock rising or falling. Most often, that is an indication of mock drafting. I watched Rattler at the beginning of his career and was interested, he just never took his game to the next level of development which is a red flag to me.Amish Cabal wrote Fri Mar 22, 2024 12:36 pm:I'd be grinning ear to ear! (And I'm guessing you meant Daniels at 3).

Rattler played on mediocre teams...Penix played on very good teams that had a lot more talent and he's not much more mobile than AOC.Attyla » Fri Mar 22, 2024 3:21 pm
I never said he was, I said he is more illusive in the pocket. And you can judge a QB regardless of his team. Rattler has never progressed his game, and it really is pretty accurate to say he looks to have a fairly low ceiling. Penix is accurate and throws TDs. That is what you want in a QB regardless of the team he plays on.raidersince66 wrote Fri Mar 22, 2024 2:51 pm:Rattler played on mediocre teams...Penix played on very good teams that had a lot more talent and he's not much more mobile than AOC.

If Penix is not that much more mobile than AOC, I don't really see him as much of an upgrade over AOC/Minshew.Attyla wrote Fri Mar 22, 2024 3:21 pm:I never said he was, I said he is more illusive in the pocket. Rattler will get over drafted as well, but where I have no idea, all I know is he will be a project whereas Penix could come in and start year one on the right team.

My take, as uninformed as it might be, has begun to flesh out, so thought I would share my thoughts .....well, gut reactions. Not that it matters, but I am bored.RickRyb » Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:22 am

Don't like this at all. Fuaga has short arms (33 1/8), Penix in the 2nd WITHOUT a trade up maybe (worried about his mobility), WR in the 3rd?RickRyb wrote Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:22 am:NFL.com - Chad Reuter
1st (13) - Taliese Fuaga (OT)
2nd (33) - Michael Penix (QB) [No details on the trade but it looks like The Raiders included their 4th round pick]
3rd (77) - Johnny Wilson (WR) [huh?]

Every pick is a maybe. I say fuck it and swing for the fences. We finally have an above average defense with the potential to be very very good. We have the pieces on offense minus the Qb.raider_kin wrote Sun Mar 24, 2024 6:13 pm:6 high picks for a maybe. Thank god you are not in charge.
