Yes, did not say, "most of us." Many means that there was myself and others. Was not implying that it was a popular idea at the time. I know that it was not since I did get some in full disagreement with me at the time.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:18 am:If you go to other social media fansites, you will know that “Many of us” did not know that the previous year was a mirage and considered us a SB team with just a few pieces away from a ring. Had JMD come in and completely cleaned house, he would have immediately been vilified and ran out of town in the first year. As it was, when he dumped Carr, “Many of us” had conniption fit and blamed Josh for cutting their messiah and ruining a playoff team. There was no way Josh would have been able to trade Renfro, Waller, and Carr right out of the gate, the fanbase would have revolted.
Essentially when you say “Many of us” you’re talking about a selective few who know football and not the mass casual fanbase who just tunes in to see their favorite players.

He wants the big paycheck in the not for long league...Goodtimes333 wrote Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:03 am:Sneed has had 11 picks, 8.5 sacks and something like 15 QB hits. Super rare to have a db that's that much of a playmaker in such a variety of ways. This is great news

They lost Willie Gay too, which to me is an underrated loss.raidersince66 wrote Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:34 am:Agreed...whenever we played KC it seemed he was in on every play...his departure definitely weakens KC's defense.

I find it odd that the re-signing of Drue Tranquill is lauded, but nobody is talking about the loss of Willie Gay. He's a really good player - I get that he's had some injuries, but he was a big deal on that D IMO.Amish Cabal wrote Mon Mar 25, 2024 5:07 am:They lost Willie Gay too, which to me is an underrated loss.

Not really a Raider topic, and I don't follow Williamson as a reporter, but this popped up and I love when people take big steps to change their own lives so.......Amish Cabal » Mon Mar 25, 2024 7:44 am
Wow! Nearly 200 lbs lost! I've given him lots of shit for his writing over the years, but I'm truly happy for him. I'll ease up a bit.chucker wrote Mon Mar 25, 2024 6:50 am:Not really a Raider topic, and I don't follow Williamson as a reporter, but this popped up and I love when people take big steps to change their own lives so.......

Yes, these types of stories are always great to hear, when someone is able to overcome these types of adversities. It has a way of putting things in perspective.Amish Cabal wrote Mon Mar 25, 2024 7:44 am:Wow! Nearly 200 lbs lost! I actually admire his dedication, while I do not run 9 miles a day, I did drop around 80lbs in about a year and a half. It is really amazing what that does to all your numbers when having blood work done.signal wrote Mon Mar 25, 2024 8:23 am:Yes, these types of stories are always great to hear, when someone is able to overcome these types of adversities. Good for you for getting healthier.Attyla wrote Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:42 am:I actually admire his dedication, while I do not run 9 miles a day, I did drop around 80lbs in about a year and a half. It is really amazing what that does to all your numbers when having blood work done.
And I will just mention, I know guys are notorious for not seeing their Drs. Some do not even have a doctor. But let me just say, go see your doctor. Get the blood work done, get the vitals in the computer, if you are asked to take a medication, either prescription or OTC, just do it. If it is time for the camera up the butt, schedule it. If you need the stress test, take it. Your health is all you got, enjoy it until the wheels fall off but do not hamstring yourself by not doing what you can to enjoy a long and happy life.

I doubt I even try to hit 100lbs, that would be my high school soccer playing weight and I doubt it would work on my frame at my age, and I am not interested in hitting a number just to hit a number. And it was never about looking thin either. It was always about my A1C and triglycerides and to a degree my cholesterol (that number has been good all along.) Not that it was bad to begin with but it even naturally raised my testosterone a bit.chucker wrote Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:50 am:Good for you for getting healthier.
And everything you said about seeing the doctor is so true. Even if you're feeling great, having the baseline bloodwork numbers is important because it gives something to compare to when shit hits the fan.
It's hard for a lot of people to get in shape because their jobs put them in situations where eating bad and moving less are natural outcomes. I would think that being a beat reporter, sitting around waiting for something to happen and working some weird hours, would be a terrible job with respect to maintaining the habits of a healthy lifestyle.

Huge problem in America, pun intended. Our medical system is being run ragged by all the folks on Medicare etc. Best to keep yourself tip top boys. One thing most should do is drop the booze. Pure poison and a testosterone killerAttyla » Mon Mar 25, 2024 3:47 pm
not just America. 1B people are now classified as obese worldwide, and even in 3rd world countries. the US gets a bad rap on the obesity front, but it is now a health crisis across the globe. And Medicare is not part of the problem, that is part of the solution. Medicare is taking care of our elderly, and they need care. The solution is to make qualified college students who want to go to medical school affordable to do so. And make choosing to go into fields of medicine such as general practice and pediatrics appealing financially by not strapping fields of medicine that pay less with a ton of student debt possible. It is not about the number of patients, it is about the pipeline of physicians.Goodtimes333 wrote Mon Mar 25, 2024 3:20 pm:Huge problem in America, pun intended. Without going crazy political which is where thai stuff always goes, I’m not a fan of regulations but medical field needs some. I have one basic hospital/healthcare option within 15 miles of me. 4 hospitals all owned by one company. They charge on average 5x for imaging that an independent imaging place does.16 to 88 » Mon Mar 25, 2024 5:17 pm
