In that one interview the very first thing out of Tedesco's mouth was "the offensive line needs fixing". He especially called out the run blocking. So, no. The OL is not fine.

You have no rg. Parham and James are average at best. Munford is still a question mark even if he did flash a few games last year. Oh and where's the depth. So no IMO the oline is nit fine. Adding a decent vet at cb isn't fixing the issue that we need another starter there. Relying on somone to get at any position and picking him up isn't a good strategyAngryRaidersFan wrote Thu Apr 18, 2024 8:38 pm: I don't understand this take that the offensive line is in shambles. ITS FINE! As far as cb it's not hard to add a decent veteran cb before training camp and or in the middle of the regular season. We did that last year and it turned out fine. Trade the picks. Get Daniels or Maye. I don't really care which

Ok. We obviously have different definitions of the word "fine". We can just leave it at thatAngryRaidersFan wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 3:38 am: We just signed a right guard who has been a starter in the league for 7 or 8 years now and he's still only 31. So we have our rg

Do you watch football? Rarely does a rookie QB do anything in their first year. Stroud is an exception to the rule and the overwhelming praise he received only proves the rule. Go and check out and see those stats that rookie QBs have put up. I'll wait. Oh and many rooks at the position don't even see the field or see it only for a couple of games.AngryRaidersFan wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 3:56 am:Ol and cb are secondary needs to QB.
You really wanna waste another year of Maxx crosbys prime by allowing the team to be quarterbacked by Gardner O'Connell???

I can't speak for him, but I didn't read his post as expecting a rookie QB to ball out immediately. Just that we need to get a QB in the pipe to start the development process immediately.signal wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 4:40 am:Do you watch football? So, if you are counting on a rook QB coming in and balling out...well, you are living in world where you think it might be a good idea to get rich by investing in lottery tickets.
If the Raiders go QB, they are hoping to find a long term fix for the position moving forward. Drafting a QB is not about the following year. It is about the next 10 years.
Whether the Raiders go QB early or not, I will be surprised if they are the starter day one.

He specifically stated: "waste another year" with AO4 or Minshew, if that does not imply that the rook comes in and balls out next season not sure what does. Is that "another year" four years down the line? No, he is referring to next year.Arsenal Raider wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 4:58 am:I can't speak for him, but I didn't read his post as expecting a rookie QB to ball out immediately. Ok fine. Let him sit for 4 games. Give Aiden minshew a chance. Watch them underwelm and then put the rook in.signal wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 4:40 am:Do you watch football? Who is this unnamed rook you keep spouting about? At times I get the impression that this rook is more of an idea than an actual player.AngryRaidersFan wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 5:39 am:Ok fine. Let him sit for 4 games. Give Aiden minshew a chance. Watch them underwelm and then put the rook in.

I like O'Connell more than some people do, and I root for him because he showed toughness and he's a Raider so I get where you're coming from. I'd still prefer they drafted a QB higher to give a better chance of getting one who's "the guy". I don't think there's any chance Penix drops to us at 44, and I think there's a slim chance that even Nix, who I don't really want anyway, falls that far.WolfRaider wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 1:47 am:According to Hondo, league evaluations are very impressed with AOC and think he should be given a chance as QB1 here.
I personally don’t see it but would love it, as he’s a guy that’s had to work he’s butt off to get anywhere. Could be worth waiting till day 2 though and see if anybody drops to us, or worse case grab a Pratt, Milton etc and see if we can work with the tools and get something out of them.

The real problem with his posts is the notion that we are fine on the line. While it is not horrible, we are not fine. But, that being said, a couple day 2 pick ups would go a long way. As for our most recent pickup, he was horrible last year, and that comes from a guy who watched him a lot in college and was pulling for him all the way.signal wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 5:45 am:Who is this unnamed rook you keep spouting about? Look, I see nothing wrong going QB early. None whatsoever. And I have no problem if TT thinks it is best to go in a different direction come the draft. I do think TT is a capable GM who will not be picking by position (stupid approach)...or even need but knows that he is actually picking players and hope he collects the best group of players he can in this draft because that is how you build a winner.

We just signed a RG who was benched last season by our own OC. He knows the system, but I think he's signed as depth.AngryRaidersFan wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 3:38 am: We just signed a right guard who has been a starter in the league for 7 or 8 years now and he's still only 31. So we have our rg
