Nothing is going to change my stance. We literally have the greatest raider of all time on our roster right now!vtraider » Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:21 am
I can't speak much on Pratt. I haven't watched him play. However rattler definitely has the talent to take the starter job day 1. If you can harness it. I've seen every snap he's taken over the last 2 years.Dark Horse wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 10:34 am:The problem with settling for Pratt and Rattler is the pecking order. Are they gonna beat out AOC is Minshew in camp? Highly unlikely, which means they wouldn't get reps, and thus a day 2 pick is wasted in the short term. They likelihood is they all still will be severely outmatched in the AFC West.

Yup, we can indeed make the sample size smaller and smaller, to support a particular theorem.Dark Horse wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:00 am:By the way, I bet those percentages would look different if they were considering the last 5 years. WRs is no longer a boogeyman pick.

Do not waste another year of this man's prime
Trade the picks and get the qb if the patriots are open to it. If not take penix at 13.

Maxx is the greatest Raider of all time? Uh, no, not even top 5 slick. Go watch any number of games in the 70's and early 80's and get back to me....if you still think that, you do not know football.AngryRaidersFan wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:20 am:Nothing is going to change my stance. Seriously. Does he have a chance to be the greatest? Yeah he does. But it's definitely not set in stone yetAttyla wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:31 am:Maxx is the greatest Raider of all time? I'd rather have Penix and our 2 or 3 1st round pics.AngryRaidersFan wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:20 am:Nothing is going to change my stance. We literally have the greatest raider of all time on our roster right now!

Upshaw and Otto to me are the gold standard, Shell being close with Howie and Old Man Willie rounding out the top 5 for me. Maxx would have to play a long time at a very high level to take out the top 3 and Upshaw might still be better even thenvtraider wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:33 am:Seriously. Exactly. That's why I said he has a chance. It's still a long way to go. He hasn't caught brown and Marcus yetAttyla wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:42 am:Upshaw and Otto to me are the gold standard, Shell being close with Howie and Old Man Willie rounding out the top 5 for me. Exactly. We discuss and debate to learn and even open our minds to other ideas that we may have never considered. The Condor wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:28 am:We know. You are young, we understand.

But it really is not a discussion or a debate if one side states that nothing will change his stance or opinion. I can't imagine reading posts with any interest if I thought that my opinion on matters was complete and unchangeable. Why would I read them? I know everything, I am right. Guess, I read to simply find affirmation. That would be sad.
Thankfully I have never experienced that form of certainty on many things and it has made reading and listening to other people's ideas interesting and yes, at times, a rather inspiring activity where ideas I had are challenged to the point that they get replaced by better ones.
Yes, I know this only a football forum but 'certainty' about things especially the draft is something I can't wrap my head around.

Hell we have guys who have posted here today who are not open to concepts or ideas and must always be right. The Condor wrote Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:59 am:Yup
If you don't approach a debate with an open mind, open to the possibility that your counterparts may propose valid ideas, you are not in fact debating. You are simply seeking validation.
See the echo chamber that is X/Twitter for evidence of this.

Judging from the sidelines, I’ve found that most of you are absolutely right. While also it’s quite clear that some of you are profoundly fundamentally apocalyptically wrong. Carry on thy wayward sons.
