Good point, six more teams won't be looking for one. Well, make that five. With Atlanta you never know!vtraider wrote Thu Apr 25, 2024 10:01 pm:That's true. Guys will rise and fall throughout the season. Plus with everyone taking QBs this year demand won't be as high so prices to trade shouldn't be as high. Plus more of a chance of them sliding. Think of the year Aaron Rogers and Alex Smith came out. Rogers slid a long way down because demand for a QB wasn't as high

I think you can add Milroe to that too. Brady Cook could be the big riser.Raidernation1979 wrote Thu Apr 25, 2024 7:13 pm:So Beck, Sanders or Ewers come on down

Falcons screwed PennixMarzan » Fri Apr 26, 2024 3:46 am
The mad thing about the picking Penix is that they have Cousins on an almost 9 figures contract.Twoutrally wrote Fri Apr 26, 2024 3:09 am:Falcons screwed Pennix

The only way they didn't potentially screw him is if Cousins suffers an early season or career ending injury.Twoutrally wrote Fri Apr 26, 2024 3:09 am:Falcons screwed Pennix

We wouldn't have got Penix even if Atlanta didn't take him. Denver would have been all over him. We would have settled with Nix... maybe, maybe not, depending on what TT thought of him. The Raiders did what they had to do, given the circumstance. I'm just happy they they picked the BPA... one that could turn out to be a fucking monster weapon for us.Opoponax50 » Fri Apr 26, 2024 4:20 am
Agreed. There are some who seem to think that the FO can do anything they want no matter what the circumstances are while never taking into consideration there are 31 other teams involved in the process.Dr Death wrote Fri Apr 26, 2024 4:13 am:All the complainers should be thankful the Raiders didn't Raider out this time and fuck it all up like usual. At the very least, you can't go WTF! with the pick. On to round 2. Let's see how this plays out.

It was an old school move. Pick the future, sit his ass and let him learn. It is exactly what I wanted us to do as well.Marzan wrote Fri Apr 26, 2024 3:46 am:The mad thing about the picking Penix is that they have Cousins on an almost 9 figures contract.

You don't want your future QB that is being groomed to play his first NFL game at 26 years old. Mind boggling pick for Atlanta.Attyla wrote Fri Apr 26, 2024 4:27 am:It was an old school move. Pick the future, sit his ass and let him learn. It is exactly what I wanted us to do as well.

Now go get Jordan Travis if he didn’t get hurt, he’d be a top 10 pickheavyD » Fri Apr 26, 2024 5:50 am
At the same time it pissed off Cousins.Attyla wrote Fri Apr 26, 2024 4:27 am:It was an old school move. Pick the future, sit his ass and let him learn. It is exactly what I wanted us to do as well.

McCartney said there is frustration and confusion coming from Cousins' camp because Atlanta did not use its first-round pick to make the team better in 2024.

I guess we are going to find out if the Raiders really liked Rattler. If they actually had plans on landing a QB out of this draft he represents the beginning of the next tier but may not be there in the 3rd round. I kind of feel they need to go OL today but this draft has been a little crazy so who knows.Willmark » Fri Apr 26, 2024 6:00 am

QBs can play well into their late 30s or older at a high level. I think it was a brilliant move and one that is going to pay off for them.BoKnows81 wrote Fri Apr 26, 2024 4:55 am:You don't want your future QB that is being groomed to play his first NFL game at 26 years old.
