No way in hell knowing whether Atlanta made a good move or not. If Penix turns out to be a good NFL QB, then it was a good pick even though it was reach in the first round. If Penix does not have a good NFL career than it was a bad move and Atlanta missed out on a blue chip player reaching for a QB who never panned out.Dark Horse wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 9:08 am:The only way it makes ANY sense is if Kirk is one and done.

As long as he’s starting when we play’m. Lookin’ forward to all his greatest hits. I’ll avoid the vitriol, but an immediate tear-filled retirement announcement post game will be pure unadulterated joy.Raider_Len wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 7:30 am:No but I have a sure bet for you. Carr will be benched for Rattler sometime in the 2025 season. Book it.
Ok ok, I went there, but you have to admit, this place would be upside down, even that far out.

I think in the back of their minds Atlanta doesn't think Cousins can make it through a full season let alone two. Atlanta's mistake was NOT selecting Penix, but signing Cousins to a ridiculous contract.heavyD » Sun Apr 28, 2024 9:32 am
When they handed that contract to Cousins it put them in “win-now” mode which is why it’s a little puzzling they didn’t use the pick on the top defensive player in the draft that would help them win now.RickRyb wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 9:17 am:I think in the back of their minds Atlanta doesn't think Cousins can make it through a full season let alone two. Pretty clear why so many teams even teams that just signed QBs went QB, next years draft af far as QBs goes is going to be very lack luster, so that means 2 years to hope to draft a franchise QB and then waiting till they are NFL ready. Doesn't say much for the Raiders.Sir Raider Duck, OMS » Sun Apr 28, 2024 9:37 am
The top four QBs went roughly where they were expected to go.AdamJoshua28 wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 9:35 am:Pretty clear why so many teams even teams that just signed QBs went QB, next years draft af far as QBs goes is going to be very lack luster, so that means 2 years to hope to draft a franchise QB and then waiting till they are NFL ready. It wasn't a reach. The trepidation is based on the fact that they just signed a QB for big money.signal wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 9:13 am:No way in hell knowing whether Atlanta made a good move or not. Right now, nobody knows but I guess we can all pretend to think we know.

What an asinine post. Show me where I said we should have done something different or somehow magically drafted a QB. I'm simply pointing out we are in a shitty spot regarding QB.Dr Death wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 8:18 pm:What would you have done Mr. GM? It doesn't even take 9 games to see that AOC is the least mobile QB in the NFL. In a time where mobile QBs who can extend a play are becoming the norm, he is a statue.cannon33 wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 12:42 am:Your GM and HC would disagree .
You can’t judge any QB after 9 games . Or a QB that had not taken even one snap yet .
The Raider QB situation is in good hands .

Not sure what your point is. He was never marketed as a mobile QB. He is a pocket passer so we loaded up the line so he can be the type of QB he is, an under center pocket passer. Minshew is a mobile QB and very dedicated to his craft. His limitations revolve more around his accuracy and his decision making, both of which can be worked on.Raider_Dave wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 11:07 am:It doesn't even take 9 games to see that AOC is the least mobile QB in the NFL. My point seems pretty simple. I think our QB situation stinks. It's one of, if not the worst, in the NFL. That's my opinion. You don't have to agree.Attyla wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 11:21 am:Not sure what your point is.

Me too.... but he has to beat out AO4. I think that might be a bit harder to do than some here think. I'm fine with either.Raider_Len wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 7:58 am:All in on the Little Ass Boy bandwagon!

reread your post that I quoted. Your point was not what you just said. Your point was something about mobile QBs not that our QB room stinks. Then get back to me.Raider_Dave wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 11:47 am:My point seems pretty simple. I think our QB situation stinks. It's one of, if not the worst, in the NFL. That's my opinion.
