Gronk and Serial Killer, Vegas style?vtraider wrote Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:34 pm:He is a good player. But he's been behind Bowers all through college. He finished second to Bowers in all the years he was up for awards. So our te room has the top 2 college te's in the last 4 years.

First, my hats off to a couple of you who said we should take Bowers if he is there at 13 . I didn't buy it. Now if one of the top WRs were there, I could see it, but I did not see this coming at all. I thought for sure that they would take T. Fuaga. Also, whoever said above that Mayer is not very good, doesn't watch football closely enough. He's good. But, they saw the upgrade opportunity. But more than that, they must see him as going to be a stud TE who will really help the QB out a lot. Two tight end offense coming?erickench » Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:48 pm
Don't be surprised if we go linebacker and then guard tomorrow. Both of our starting LBs are free agents next year. I have my eye on Junior Colson in the 2nd and Layden Robinson in the 3rd.RunOverByHubbard wrote Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:40 pm:First, my hats off to a couple of you who said we should take Bowers if he is there at 13 . I'm not feeling Rattler in the second he's going to be more of the same, we need to get some other positions now. We won't get a QB difference maker now less one of those unexpected surprises.CWood24 wrote Thu Apr 25, 2024 7:43 pm:Yeah absolute nonsense but this pick makes sense for Getsy if he continues what he was doing in Chicago
He ran a lot of heavy personnel sets from what i could see he finished 7th & 8th in using multiple RB’s & TE’s respectively
I wouldn't be against Rattler on day 2 as his biggest strengths are his short to intermediate passing & his ability to improvise on the run, that could work in Getsy’s offence
Bowers give us another deep threat which we badly needed to pair with Tucker which i like

Bowers was mocked to the Chargers for a long time a pick #5. He is a tight end who also plays like a wide receiver.Sold My Soul » Thu Apr 25, 2024 9:14 pm

Figured they would take him if he was there, but never in a million years thought he’d be there. Really thought Harbaugh or Jets would nab him.June510 » Thu Apr 25, 2024 9:20 pm
I'm a Texas A&M fan, and I can tell you that Layden Robinson is trash.erickench wrote Thu Apr 25, 2024 8:48 pm:Don't be surprised if we go linebacker and then guard tomorrow. For the 13th straight pick, an offensive player has been chosen. The Las Vegas Raiders continued the historic run by selecting Georgia tight end Brock Bowers.16 to 88 » Thu Apr 25, 2024 9:24 pm
Same here. Every board I frequent had him in the top 7 or above. I don't think the Raiders expected him to be there. They turned that pick in instantly. As obvious as obvious gets, they stayed true to there board.HesterLayes wrote Thu Apr 25, 2024 9:19 pm:Figured they would take him if he was there, but never in a million years thought he’d be there. If you look at the top ten guards that Walterfootball has listed you will see that almost half of them are tackles and the rest are left guards and centers with very little experience playing on the right side. Robinson is a true right guard with experience in the zone blocking scheme. I grant that he may have been better in a man-to-man blocking scheme but who knows what the new Raider offense will look like.June510 wrote Thu Apr 25, 2024 9:20 pm:I'm a Texas A&M fan, and I can tell you that Layden Robinson is trash.
