Agreed. They invested a first round pick on the guy. If Getzy is as competent as AP thinks he is, he will find ways to use him. Use him as a H Back, TE, Slot, RB. Just get the ball in his hands. Adams is going to be freed up to do his damage. Bowden makes this a true pick your poison offense.Sold My Soul wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 9:24 pm:Don't care who's playing what, if our new OC can't/won't/unable to take advantage of the personnel.....won't mean shit.

6’3 245 is small for a TE nowrich72 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:23 pm:Hes kind of small for an NFL TE, baby Gronk is bigger and he was kind of small also. So did Mayer suck last season or what? Im having a hard time justifying grabbing another undersized TE when we just got one in the 2nd last season.

I could be dead wrong but do think Bowers should be considered more of hybrid moving forward given how the Raiders will probably use him. Bowers is not so much a TE but more of a TE/WR. Plus he may even be used in the running game.KillerRaider30 » Sun Apr 28, 2024 5:41 am
I've said in the past you don't draft or sign players to cover the Kelce's of the league because those player doesn't exist, you have to find your own.June510 wrote Fri Apr 26, 2024 1:24 pm:I'm an SEC guy because my favorite team is Texas A&M and I can tell the Brock Bowers is the ultimate weapon. LBs can't cover him, and he's too big for cbs and safeties.

Think of him more a 6'4" slot receiver and upgrade to Renfrow.rich72 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:23 pm:Hes kind of small for an NFL TE, baby Gronk is bigger and he was kind of small also. Really the best way to look at it.KillerRaider30 wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 6:07 am:Think of him more a 6'4" slot receiver and upgrade to Renfrow.
Mayer is TE1

Consensus out there is you can an entire offense through him and with Davantes age and contract numbers in 2 years the landscape is going to look much different.chucker wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 6:59 am:This isn't as much of a "luxury pick" when you consider that Adams' contract is untenable after 2024. Is Bowers just a TE or is he Puka Nacua on steriods?

I think your missing the point. I'm not bagging on AOC. I am bagging on the poster making a point of a player having the requisite look to be successful at their position. I countered with asking if AOC has the successful quarterback look since Bowers and Renfrow failed their pageant. Does that piss you off?Dr Death wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:49 pm:[/color]We are about to find out. Does that piss you off?

I'm enjoying the thought of Bowers (and Bryant) joining Adams, Meyers and Mayer in the Redzone passing attack - you better have some size that can coverRickRyb » Sun Apr 28, 2024 9:20 am
A two tight end set with Mayers and Bryant, Bowers in the slot, Adams and Meyers on the outsides.Bowl Cut Mark Davis wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 9:14 am:I'm enjoying the thought of Bowers (and Bryant) joining Adams, Meyers and Mayer in the Redzone passing attack - you better have some size that can cover

Well he would have better served doing that in Rds 3-4.Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote Fri Apr 26, 2024 1:43 pm:Yes, I'm sure our veteran General Manager, who's been a GM in this league since Barack Obama was President and been working in NFL front offices for the last three decades, checks ESPN's draft prognostications. Truly.

Nah.... I don't get pissed off anymore about the Raiders/football. Thanks for clarifying what you meant. Like I told another poster, I had a bit too much Bourbon, and I should have just stayed off of here.UC__ wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 8:19 am:I think your missing the point. I'm not bagging on AOC.
