Also, both starters at their respective positions. No ifs or buts.ELCAraiderfan wrote Fri Apr 26, 2024 5:34 pm:You know I've been around these Raiders drafts for a very, very, very long time.......I'm not sure how to react to 2 well thought out and very solid BPA players picked in rounds 1 & 2. no reaches.
Is this real? Yes, Finally!

PFF had Johnson as #17 best player in college, not those to be drafted...but the #17 best college player in 2023, period. Enough said.Willmark » Sun Apr 28, 2024 3:33 pm
The more I think about this pick, what if he does end starting as center and they shift James to Guard? If not? He looks nasty, like itZAttyla » Sun Apr 28, 2024 3:38 pm
Many natural centers start at guard. While I am "play a guy at his natural position" guy, that move actually can help centers transition to the NFL because they are not calling blocking assignments from the start. He will benefit from playing guard and we will as well.Raidernation1979 » Sun Apr 28, 2024 4:15 pm
Rumor has it I think from Hondo that the front office may be TT called Andre James before the pic and told him they were picking him and that he was still the centerWillmark wrote Sun Apr 28, 2024 3:33 pm:The more I think about this pick, what if he does end starting as center and they shift James to Guard? He certainly gives us options.

You know you've got a star when there's a burger named after him.Willmark » Mon Apr 29, 2024 1:15 pm
Love it, one of the BFG poking fun and a new running back who might be certifiable!Amish Cabal wrote Mon Apr 29, 2024 12:42 pm:You know you've got a star when there's a burger named after him.
The "Big Jax" burger.

“Yeah so shoutout Elk Horn Brewery in Eugene, Oregon,” said Powers-Johnson. “It’s not a sandwich it’s a burger. It’s called the Big Jax burger. Has a lot of stuff in it, it’s a big-man delight. So start with the bun. Really great brioche bun. Under that, we got a little bit of barbeque, some queso, some Mac and Cheese, pulled pork, some bacon, two patties, and a bun under there. If you can finish that, the meal is probably free.”

so you picked our very best as examples of guys who never did? Sure, the very best never did, but it is not uncommon for natural centers to start at guard. But congrats on finding the outliers to argue.cannon33 wrote Mon Apr 29, 2024 7:57 pm:Wasn’t a problem for Otto or Robbins.
Dalby never played OG , but didn’t get the starting spot till 5 years in .
I’m sure JPJ can handle it .
