Along with 2 possible good depth players and that's hitting on 50 percent of your draft. Hope all plays out well.HesterLayes wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 8:01 pm:don’t know a couple of them, but i know we have two sure fire starters at least and they are studs.that’s a good draft to me

All of this exactly.JP808 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:15 pm:I was worried that we would trade the kitchen sink for a QB. Even though I would have loved Daniels in Vegas, there were too many holes that even a good QB couldn’t make up for.
With that said, Mark made the right decision to go with Telesco. Had it been anyone else, AP would have had it his way with every pick and would have been the same old Raiders draft getting their guy and paying anything to do it.
A couple things stands out with all these players is that they are workers and physical player. They are going to get it everyday. They are going to play with “ill intent”. This is what AP said he wanted and Telesco delivered. I want to see what AP can get out of these rookies.

I wonder what this draft tells us about the next round of free agency. The Raiders didn't touch DB, RB, WR or LB with day 1 or day 2 selections. Typically, after the first two rounds you don't expect any of these guys to be starting this season, they are mostly depth pieces with a chance to start in a few years.Arsenal Raider » Sat Apr 27, 2024 9:18 pm
Exactly. Not all of us who dug this draft are homers.Raidernation1979 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 9:12 pm:https://twitter.com/Jimetrics/status/17 ... xuyDw&s=19

This offense is going to be completely different. WCO, probably combine gap and zone scheme blocking, tons of motion, play action fakes, jet sweeps and jet motion, quick hitters and YAC, shots down field, 2TE, Bowers all over the place, backs catching passes out of the backfield. Really looking forward to it...Goodtimes333 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 6:38 pm:Love it. Wasn't worth trading up for any QB this year with the cost. With this team top to bottom, Aidan or Gardner can win a lot of games. If it's Aidan he'll actually have an off-season of reps this time with an offense that wasn't installed after a shitstorm on the fly

Process of elimination. It's likely in reality that only 3 QB's were in play Nix, Penix and McCarthy. The cardinals weren't budging because they possible picked the best player in the entire draft as he fell right in there lap. The chargers weren't going to trade with us. So that left the Giants and the Titans as potential trade partners IF we were interested in one of the 3. At that point it's tough to say. Maybe neither wanted to trade or where asking a kings ransom knowing we wanted to move up and take a shot at say Penix.heavyD wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 7:48 pm:Seems like a decent draft. Maybe the best 1 & 2nd round picks since Mack and Carr. Seems like that’s already a foundation for being a good draft. There were a couple consensus reaches, but they clearly see something in those players and we have to hope they are right. Seems like an above average draft.
I’m actually really surprised they didn’t come out with a QB. Clearly they didn’t like many of the guys after the top six. Looks like they’re totally fine to go into the season with what they have.

Telesco did a masterful job put the clowns of the last two regimes to shame.devilraid316 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 3:41 pm:Generally, I'm not a fan of sitting around and letting the draft come to you. This was one of the only drafts I can remember the Raiders having zero movement either up or down in the draft.
It seems to me the Raiders are looking for specific kind of players in both free agency and the draft. And unlike the lip service you typically get, I think the Raiders got their guys. Very interesting draft for them.

Four starters on a top 10 D from the ‘21 draft. If we get four starters from this one I’ll be happy.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 3:36 pm:Best draft in the last 10 years
