Seems like a good draft but to be honest I can’t tell all that much yet after the first two picks both of which seem solid. It’s all theoretical at this point.VEfreak » Sat Apr 27, 2024 10:58 pm
I think we did a lot to get stronger and tougher upfront. Bowers will be dynamic in the middle and moved defenders backwards as a blocker. That was a great first round pick. I like what I’ve read so far, I just hope our first two picks are ready to be studs from day one.JP808 » Sat Apr 27, 2024 11:11 pm
I think Bowers is dynamic enough to fill this void. He can block decently enough. More importantly it gives him another look to be on the field. I view Bowers more as a weapon than a tight end. He can line up anywhere and command the defense’s attention. I’m hoping that Getzy will find fun and interesting ways to use Bowers. He has the potential to be a CMC type weapon for this offense.devilraid316 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 9:15 pm:
The Raiders to my knowledge don't have a fullback. They could circle back to Jakob Johnson but they could also use one of the 3 tight ends to double as a fullback and potentially go with a tackle for an unbalanced look on short yardage or goal line situations.

It’s all theoretical at this point, we need a couple of years before we can evaluate. But seems like a solid, good draft with 2 possible starters and a couple of guys that could develop down the line.Dark Horse » Sun Apr 28, 2024 12:54 am

As much as I wanted a QB, they did not see the value at a trade up enough to move on it. Looking like such a solid draft though, I will definitely trust their judgement on that.LondonRaider91 » Sun Apr 28, 2024 2:23 am
I always think after a draft ‘did we get better?’ Or if you combine draft + free agency ‘are we better than last year?’BoKnows81 » Sun Apr 28, 2024 3:12 am

What kind of question is this? You can't throw out hypotheticals. We DID sign Minshew. We DO have AOC. I'm sure shit would be different if we didn't have either of those guys.crowbar wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 7:26 pm:Ok,if we did not sign Gardner Minshew in the off-season....what piece of shit FA QB would we be left with? (AOC not included)

I'm actually pretty pleased with all of our picks.Raidernation1979 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 3:26 pm:I know some hate the draft but I like it. Some good value picks. We either had to go big and get a big name qb or stay small and bolster all levels of the roster. I think we got easily 2 day 1 starters. A few solid day 1 contributors and a developmental guy or 2.

Loved the first 2 picks, we finally went BPA in the early rounds, where it is more evident who the real difference makers and better players will likely be.KillerRaider30 » Sun Apr 28, 2024 4:41 am

We will see what the staff does with them

So my thoughts are pretty simple. I looked at the list, read what people said.
