I haven’t watched too much tape of Sanders yet but, at this point, he doesn’t warrant this type of at all. Caleb Williams is a far better prospect. Jayden Daniels is too. So was Bryce Young. How good of a prospect do you see him as already?haji81872 wrote Tue Apr 30, 2024 11:52 am:He is the only QB I like from this class that I would move up for, and I would move heaven and earth to get him.
To me the gap between him and everyone else is cavernous. Still can't stand dad though.

To me, he doesn’t go thru progressions or, analyze what’s going on with the defense quick enough, yet. Can he take the next step this year, it’s possible but, he hasn’t shown a higher level of that, yet. & that’s two of the most critical traits for a QB.

No way in hell would I give up the farm for Sanders. The top 3 this year were better than him, not to mention JJ and Penix even have a shot to be better than Sanders. You all want to make fun of Caleb and his antics, just wait til Deion gets involved with his son in the NFL.Attyla » Wed May 01, 2024 12:09 pm
To be honest, our current team is such a question mark. If the QB who gets the job balls out with our weapons/line improvements, we could be seeing a legit playoff team. Defense was good last year but will it continue? Hard to tell but if they do, again, playoffs? It all hinges on Pierce getting the guys going. And that starts with the position coaches/coordinators. I like the staff he put together.Amish Cabal wrote Wed May 01, 2024 10:06 am:Seemed to be an excitable young fella. Sometimes they just don't fit.

Speaking of old, I'm much too worn out to even start thinking about the '25 draft.

Been trying to think of a Comp for Carson Beck, best I can come up with is Dak…. Good size and arm, makes all the through although he doesn’t have a cannon. Can run a bit too. But nothing about him is elite. I see him as a guy that will be in that QB 8-15 range in the NFL.MexicanHulk » Wed May 01, 2024 1:44 pm

I watched every game they played last year and if he had any line at all you could have reversed their record. He was sacked 52 times and it wasn't because he held on to the ball too long. He was running for his life. There was no time for him to go through progressions and like many college QB's he wasn't really asked to do a lot of that. Take the Arizona game for example, though. On his touchdown pass to put them up against Arizona he went to his third read, because he actually had time. I have to disagree. I think he does a good job of going through his progressions and keeping his eyes down field rather than on the chaos around him. No one had a worse line than Colorado last season.WolfRaider » Wed May 01, 2024 2:20 pm
But, as a person and leader is he right for us. Does he fit in with the culture we are creating.haji81872 wrote Wed May 01, 2024 1:48 pm:I watched every game they played last year and if he had any line at all you could have reversed their record. After the snap I also feel he does a good job reading what is in front of him. People talk about off platform throws, he does that with great skill. He can make every throw. He also uses his eyes well to manipulate DB's. He did this a number of times in the Stanford game.
The thing I like most about him is how well he takes care of the ball. Despite running for his life he rarely forces a pass. 430 passes and only 3 interceptions last season. Lost two fumbles.
He is accurate. He hit 70 percent of his passes even though he had his receivers drop the ball over 20 times. Whether inside the pocket or on the move he is consistently accurate. He has poise and will stay in the pocket vs. scrambling a lot, although he has a tendency to float around and could get rid of the ball rather than take some of the sacks he took last season, but that is because so much was on his shoulders to make plays.
Built better than Daniels, an inch taller than Williams. So he has decent size.

Just a question for those wanting Sanders next year. How do you think something like this would fly in the locker roomBoKnows81 » Wed May 01, 2024 4:38 pm
Can't fucking stand him or his dad and want no parts of those clowns anywhere near this team.vtraider wrote Wed May 01, 2024 3:00 pm:Just a question for those wanting Sanders next year. How do you think something like this would fly in the locker room
