NO WAY IN HELL! No team will trade for carr, not with how lousy he is and with that salary....not unless their front office/ownership are as stupid as the Raiders has been.HesterLayes wrote Mon Sep 26, 2022 9:28 pm:Do you think a team like the Giants would trade for Carr?
Colts like their vet QBs,Ryan is washed ,you think they would?
Just thinking out loud if any team would take him and his contract on.Could really change the fate of our franchise.

I would hope, but I doubt it. Derek can pick and choose thanks to the no trade clause, and I can't see anyone willing to pay this guy 40+ mil per current contract. Looking at the last half season, he hasn't been worth 20. I think we'll just have to cut him and somebody can take him off the heap, if he still wants to play. I think there is merit to this. I also think that the shotty throwing mechanics that has been his calling card throughout most of his career will accelerate the decline. Throwing sideways, back foot, 40 yds downfield doesn't work for most 20 yr olds. He's going to quickly become obsolete if he can't learn at the age of 31 to step into his throws.Jeremyturner1976 wrote Mon Sep 26, 2022 6:43 pm:Does anyone think being 31 has put Carr on the decline?
He used to throw a hell of a football, but watching these games he can't even do that anymore.
I know it seems early in age, but those results are irrefutable. The dude is throwing like Trubisky out there.

I was thinking that too. His arm doesn’t look the same.Jeremyturner1976 wrote Mon Sep 26, 2022 6:43 pm:Does anyone think being 31 has put Carr on the decline?

I have said this on a previous post. Carr's mid to long passes is where he always excelled at. Most would not argue that he does have arm talent in those areas. His passes have been bad as he clearly has lost velocity and zip on his throws. In fact, his long passes have looked like punts. Is he hurt? Has father time caught up with him? He also is constantly throwing off one foot (when it is not needed). If this is not worked out, he goes from a slightly above average QB to a much less than average QB.Raidernation1979 » Tue Sep 27, 2022 8:19 am
Carr has been throwing punts for a while now. A few nice strikes but he likes to throw it up not hit in strideAttyla » Tue Sep 27, 2022 8:42 am
from my vantage point, his arm talent is still there. However, he relies on that arm talent way too much. It is like he gets geeked up when he sees a chance for a long strike so his mechanics go to shit from the waist down. He rarely steps into those throws and lofts it all from his shoulder. He seems to not realize setting his feet and using his hips in those throws not only gets the accuracy improved, but allows for more zip on the ball on a lower arc.RI RAIDER wrote Tue Sep 27, 2022 7:15 am:I have said this on a previous post. Look, it takes at least 9 years for an NFL QB to learn throwing mechanics. I don't know why Waller isn't teaching him these things.Attyla wrote Tue Sep 27, 2022 8:42 am:from my vantage point, his arm talent is still there. However, he relies on that arm talent way too much. Carr has been exhibiting the same poor tendencies for the last several years. Guy never fails to eventually dissapoint. Sux watching other qbs come into the league and lap him, like Tua. Even Philly is having success this year while Raiders remain stuck on Carr.Jeremyturner1976 » Tue Sep 27, 2022 11:12 am

Former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson has been a staunch defender of Carr and he’s starting to believe that he needs to get away from Las Vegas.Amish Cabal » Tue Sep 27, 2022 11:54 am
Lol Keyshawn... yeah, it's that darn mystique (been lost for decades), it's the colors and that pirate on the helmet making Derek look like a bad QB. LMAO What an ass kisser.Sold My Soul wrote Tue Sep 27, 2022 11:35 am:Former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson has been a staunch defender of Carr and he’s starting to believe that he needs to get away from Las Vegas.
“Maybe a change of scenery for whatever reason will help his career out,” Johnson said of Carr on ESPN’s “KJM.” “If he gets to the right place in the right system with the right team because that Raider mystique thing that hovers over that organization, he’s a part of and it makes it seem like he’s not a good quarterback and that’s not true at all”
