As myself and others have pointed out many times, the media simply doesn't and cannot be expected to know any Raider player the way we do.BigJerk wrote Fri Feb 03, 2023 10:51 am:Earlier I called it his Open Job Interview...
GMFB is calling it The REVENGE TOUR.

My guess remains the Saints

100% it was Carr’s decision. If the team even hinted at that they’d find themselves facing fines for violating the CBA.raiders93 wrote Fri Feb 03, 2023 9:56 am:Not really anything we didn’t already know here. Still not clear whose decision it was for him to leave the team those last few weeks. Though again - I’d think it was Carr. Sending him home certainly didn’t help his trade value - gave away that he’s done here. If he stayed with the team maybe you can spin his benching in away that doesn’t completely tip your hand that he’s out after the season.

here is my latest Derek Carr scenario:HesterLayes » Fri Feb 03, 2023 12:23 pm
Carolina isn’t that far off,my manAttyla wrote Fri Feb 03, 2023 12:17 pm:here is my latest Derek Carr scenario:
Falcons trade their second round pick in 2024 and a third round this year for Carr. If the Falcons win a playoff game, that second becomes a first.
The logic behind this is: With the Bucs about to look like hot garbage, the Saints still a long ways off and Carolina an utter mess and a screwed up cap, this is the time to strike. They have the cap space, they play in a sweet ass dome, and the fan base is ready for a winner. They can grab the division with 9 wins, maybe 8 and they will rev up the fan base and make bank doing so.
Atlanta is now my sleeper team to make a deal for Carr

Nobody's trading for Carr when they can sign him for cheaper.Attyla wrote Fri Feb 03, 2023 12:17 pm:here is my latest Derek Carr scenario:

Yep....HesterLayes » Fri Feb 03, 2023 1:16 pm
The only benefit I can think of is that if a team trades for him they have their QB and can focus on other FA’s and the draft.sooperkool wrote Fri Feb 03, 2023 1:10 pm:Yep....
I know that Athletic article is being spun like there's no market for Carr to lots of laughs and funny takes but is you read the article it basically says that no one wants to trade for what the can get without having to.
"The Raiders have very little leverage because Carr has a no-trade clause, and interested teams believe they can sign Carr for a more favorable contract than the one they’d have to trade to inherit."

The organization most definitely wanted Carr out of the facility to prevent any freak accidents which would guarantee his contract...Dark Horse wrote Fri Feb 03, 2023 9:45 am:So Lil Derek tells Maxx he doesn't want him to think he is quitting on the team, but he "has" to go home and figure out situation. Well that's quitting on the no matter how you might try to dress it up. The situation was your ass got benched probably for the first time in your life and you weren't prepared to handle it like a man.

If a team does a trade, they know what they know what they are getting. If the let him hit the market they have no idea what they will have to pay vs competition. Same holds true for carr, if he hits the market his value may be way less than he thinks.Amish Cabal » Fri Feb 03, 2023 1:30 pm
How many QB hungry teams are there? Some seemed to believe GMs would be in stiff competition to grab our "franchise QB" before the others. And wouldn't you think they might be just as afraid of a bidding war with all those other QB needy teams once he's a FA?sooperkool wrote Fri Feb 03, 2023 1:10 pm:Yep....

Except that would have violated the collective bargaining agreement, Carr took his ball and went home… not much more to it than that… Carr is an entitled, spoiled brat and there’s a mountain of evidence that proves it… that’s why people have something against him.Arsenal Raider wrote Fri Feb 03, 2023 1:18 pm:The organization most definitely wanted Carr out of the facility to prevent any freak accidents which would guarantee his contract...
Not much more to it than that man. Why do people seem to have such a personal vendetta against the guy? Especially considering he's already gone
